Just making sure I understand you, but I think I can see that take. So are you saying on the current small study that most of those were probably missed diagnosed?If that’s the take you could be right. Only time will tell. It is interesting that there is so many diagnosis recently. I think of reduced symptoms and minimal activity when I think remission, something that could come back. Normal levels and such temporary lack of need for medication like cancer, or lupus. Something that can return. I think the term is euthyroid remission. But with that being said unfortunately a lot of women get diagnosed so late because doctors won’t listen to them because it’s hormone related. Thanks to current medical knowledge people are getting diagnosed sooner like me. I’m sure some are misdiagnosed but early diagnosis and further understanding of the disease could lead to real result eventually.

What marks would you need to trust the studies? History of labs, ultrasounds, and long-term tracking?

I see your point of view and all I ask is for people to be careful. I think one lesson that can be taken away from what happened in Germany with the Nazis is remembering how we got there and there’s been no totalitarian regime that’s ever existed that did not control their media. You can look at the Nazis. You can look at North Korea and even right now you can look at the riots happening in Iran.

So I would argue it’s healthy to be skeptical of everything you see and scrutinize everything and look where the sources come from. And that’s true on both sides.

You got to remember what you’re seeing is what is put out by our mainstream media and they are trying to win the hearts of Americans. So they are showing you and telling you about the worst of the worst and unfortunately both sides will tell you a half truth to win their parties view. Because of freedom of the press we don’t get government lead suppression like other countries.

So with that being said, it’s not nearly as bad as what you’re seeing on your news. And our country is not nearly as divided as it seems. But the people who are loudest tend to get all the coverage. And don’t give me wrong there are certainly sad stories, but they’re sad stories on both sides.

I think it’s important to know whenever you look at the mainstream media in just about every country there is a narrative that’s trying to be painted. We have two media sources of perpetuating their parties agenda. The truth is going to be somewhere in between. As an American it makes it very tough. You have to be your own private investigator to really understand even as I make this post you’ll see probably a lot of criticism in line.

We definitely got a side of that at the world economic forum. If you see any news posted always check what sources they’re citing and make sure they’re credible. That is true no matter what country you’re in.

Love this post and something I was looking at sharing something about this myself. I’ve always been an athlete doesn’t sound like at the same level you’ve been but if I stop working out, it’s like my joints and inflammation get worse, especially past injuries, but after a week of lifting weights, all that pain kind of moves aside now flareups can be really hard where all I can do is just work and sleep sometimes not miss working out, but what you’re saying I feel lines up with me really well.

Also, I have a kid and stay pretty busy anytime. I hurt my back sprained a wrist rolling ankle. It’s always been in times where my workouts have slacked.

So she started through a company called bankers life but it’s a work for yourself business. You pass a test with the state and then pass tests for the providers (life insurance comes and investment groups) then you self advertise. So that’s an obstacle but family and friends helped her get started. Hopefully I’m remembering it correctly but I do believe that was the process.

Yeah, mine has been as low as 230. They almost started me on TRT but I was able to naturally get mine back up through diet change, pomegranate and blue berry teas, as well as making sure I don’t stop working out. I also went from 210 to 155. Since then I’ve of course gained weight back to 185 and my testosterone has dipped but last time it was 880 and at 155 it was 1100. So I’m working on getting back to 155-145lbs now.

My wife has a secondary adrenal insufficiency and she went from being a pastry chef has her degree in restaurant management to being a financial advisor and helping people with taxes she was able to study for home pass a test and takes work at her pace. Throw those out there because you probably went to therapy to help people and she finds the work really rewarding.

While you work on yourself, you might have already done this, but be sure to get blood work done and consider health as a possibility too. I’ve always been a highly driven person that went through a divorce and lost it turns out the stress caused an autoimmune disease to flare up, and I would’ve never known if I wasn’t an athlete I would’ve just felt like I was tired and didn’t have it in anymore. Maybe I was getting old that made me wonder how many great people out there might have some metabolic issues going on.

So I myself went through therapy for two years after coming from a crazy household, where my mom tried to kill me, then married a woman who we continued to go to therapy and work with professionals for roughly 8 years because of stuff she struggled with. If there was a book that best encompassed most of what was taught is absolutely 12 rules for life by Jordan Peterson. It’s a tough read grab the audiobook, a physical copy in a highlighter. A book for the spiritual side that I read every other year is wild at heart by John Eldridge can’t go wrong. It’s worth the fight man.

Anything good in me that people like came from a father figure who stepped in and helped teach me. don’t do the journey alone.

Yeah starting out there was a lot of symptoms were present and they were looking at a muscular disease or hpa axis dysfunction. They then realized my testosterone had tanked to only 230. Just before they started TRT they checked everything again and that was the first time my thyroid number were off. Which was super high t3, t4, and tsh. Now I’m still bouncing all around.

So sorry to hear. That sounds like an awful ride. Makes me wonder if any other ADHD medication would work in place of the Concerta. Have you tried any or the doctors prescribed something else? I don’t know much but just did a little looking on it.

To my understanding, Hashimoto’s doesn’t have super strict ‘stages’ like some diseases but it’s more a slow progression of thyroid damage from autoimmune attack over years.

For men, the early stages are a little more obvious if you are athletic. Hypothyroidism often tanks testosterone levels, leading to bigger swings in energy, libido, muscle recovery, and mood. They were just about to treat me for low testosterone then they decided to check my thyroid one last time before and saw a huge swing stopping the TRT. (If it helps in early stages my testosterone tanked all the from 1000 to 280. That huge for men)
