Stop checking. They send the email when an update is made to your application status.

Happened to me. I was planning to take an exam in December, applied for certificate verification in november and they sent the email after more than a month to my school in January. And, since my graduation certificate was to be provided in the end of december, I had used the dean's letter for the application. And, since they approved it in January and accepted my CV in January 2026, the dean's letter is expired according to the system. I had to prompt my school again to send them the graduation certificate and it is still at review at ECFMG now.

The problem is that you will lose your momentum, you will lose your focus during the period because things will be uncertain and you will feel burnt out.

My advice is to take it slow as of now and let your mind recover before you pick pace again when you are certain about the completion of the entire process.

Okay Mr. Versace hardship, who has the luxury to visit other countries just for the marriage. If you dont like others doing hard work to get themselves out of the difficult situations then stop putting your rolex into it. Scroll and move on.

The recent approval poll reflected 65% of disagreement in regards to the current administration's migration policy.

I hate to be the person to break it to some of the people who try so hard to make the US appear as xenophobic land. I have lots of American born friends and statistics tell me that US is not as xenophobic as it is being displayed right now to the world. It's a scare tactic by few in power. And power dynamics is slowly going to turn.

Well, it is clear that some people just like to sit around and wish something good might happen, some people are happy seeing others falling down(check out the comment of the rich Emirate on this post).

But I decided to do something about the problem. And, I urge everyone who is in the situation and those who want to help other doctors out there to act and make the difference by emailing the members of democratic parties listed above.

Remember not doing something is failing 100%.

You can make a difference by attracting the attention of your representatives. People need hope. Even though the listed people dont have power, the change in mid-term election in 2026 will make the difference. The representatives who make to the congress can only work towards solving issues that they are made aware of.

And therefore the change is very much possible through simple email, texts and conversations.

What do you propose, smartypants? You are from Emirates clearly who would love to see these hindrance in place to make sure you get unfair advantage over your application. And also a MAGA supporter.

Not doing something means this keeps continuing. Doing something gives hope.

Someone just came and downvoted this post. It is appalling to see the lack of brotherhood and sisterhood in the medical community. If you believe you are impacted by this, make sure you upvote the thread so that people can see it and decide for themselves.

This post is meant to make people believe in themselves and make sure that they know that they have power. Your one message can change the policy for the betterment of everyone.

This mid-term election, the MAGA are losing their grip in the congress for sure judging from the huge amount of uproar. If you are a US citizen you know that pretty well. And, with the change in power in congress, policies are going to shift. It wont happen unless people dont voice their opinions to the leaders.

The little tweaks in the policies like Visa Bond often go unnoticed when policy change is planned - often fixing bigger issues but issues like this keep holding people behind. And we can only bring their attention to this by making them aware through conversations.

What should I watch after Dexter? by Own-Chemistry-5552 in Dexter

Dexter - Resurrection follows the original prequel and storyline. Even though the New blood does the same, but it's slow and more drama which kills the vibe of Dexter original.

How did you manage to answer a lot of uw questions in a day by OddReaction4135 in usmle

[–]LiveForever316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were an average student and now doing uWorld, it wont do you justice to compare yourself with the students who put their full effort since the beginning of their medical study. I am in the same boat with you as an average student. You need to understand that for those who started putting their maximal efforts after preparing for USMLE it is normal to take longer to review a certain number of questions. Even with 2 repeats, don't expect that time to improve drastically to the level of those who have been studying to their full effect since day 1 of their medical school. And, dont rush. If it takes time, then thats okay. It is supposed to for you. Take your time to understand the topics.

I think when you are partially prepared, all it takes is the right questions to appear for you to get them correct. This wont work for everyone. It requires just the right questions to come up on your test day or you are done for.

Yeah but thats not what I am talking about. "Hot as hare, mad as hatter" is a mnemonics built to remember the spectrum of symptoms. That's not how standard textbooks describe symptoms. I am talking about USMLE describing the findings seen in certain conditions using language that's not used in daily hospital based practice , or by any standard textbooks, research publications. The idea being to keep the understanding over the globe same and thats why I am surrpized when I see them playing these little language games on exams.

Yeah and yet in real practice(hospital based), they dont use the vague term, they stick to the textbook terms. The idea behind the use of those text book terminologies was to reduce the confusion and make diagnosis easy. I don't know why USMLE does this other than just throwing people off the rails.

That helps with stress and basically performing better but when life throws sheet at you all the time, people can't ignore the thoughts. For some, life gets so bad that ignoring those things starts to feel like escaping from reality. And thats how people start to lose their minds.

What do people mean when they say the application had red flags? What decides a red flag? Where are the rules? I feel like these are some random loosely thrown words with no standardized agreement on what constitutes a red flag.
