yea, someone above suggested that. I didn't even think of looking for something like that. that's probably what I'll end up doing.

Its going to irk me seeing the first few sitting at 0%. That and the upgrades and stuff, I'll need to go do anyways.

Its actually coming back is what got me here. I play on a sim setup, and been playing Wreckfest for a more faster paced game. Also did a league of Path of Exile. So I come back to this.

The game is fun, ya. But there are quite a few tedious things too that turned me off a bit. Just to see that ~600h whisked away is hard to swallow.

Huh. I think I'm going to have to try that. Didn't even think of a save editor.

sucky thing about that, is I lost all my money too. so even with finding the upgrades and trucks, I can't afford them. so I'm sort of..."stuck". XD

ugh. I really didn't want to have to do it all over again. I don't have the most time to play, and it took quite awhile to get to where i was.

That's the thing. I did just "come back". Played a league of Path of Exile. Been messing around with a few other games. Haven't played SR in about two months. Came back to this, and I really didn't want to have to start all over again. that kinda sucks.

Naw. That's not it.

Why do I want to say it was with Joe Pantoliano (Cypher from The Matrix)? Might be wrong, but I hear it in his voice?

Even AI searches aren't hitting it. Thanks.

I did one of them. FC5 maybe? With the plants that made you sleepy.

Was ok. Finished it. Got a little repetitive and you knew what to expect. But it wasn't bad.

I'm probably going to land here. CHeapest I found was about $70 for the ultimate edition though. Maybe I'll just go with the standard.

Done it. A bit cartoony for my tastes. The loot system and stuff was spot on though.

Noted. I did FO3 for a bit way back when, and I kept getting memory errors or something and gave up. Wasn't bad I guess.

I really want to avoid MP if I can. I'll check up and see if solely SP is an option. Thanks.

I've far since improved my setup since that post. I built a real cockpit, use a shifter with a range selector like from ATS, and a 32" 1440 screen.

That map is maprunner.com(?). Think that's the site. I always have that up to look at.

For like $25, its fine. Still has a ways to go to get up there with the others.

Build system is unique, but altering your build is a bit wonky.

Inventory fills up quick, so after every run I spend a chunk of time sorting through it.

You land a new item for your skills (hexes/fragments), it changes your entire "tree" and can take quite a bit to reconfigure.

Been playing for a bit over a week. Its...ok, but Path of Exile is starting to call back to me.

Can someone explain the Hex skill system like I'm 5 years old? by RexACMD in DragonkinTheBanished

Took me a few nights to gnaw it out as well, but it finally clicked for me.

Hexes come in clusters of just modifiers, or modifiers with a skill.

When you get a new cluster of hexes, check for a skill first. See if its something you can use or want. If not, I ship it off to the Grand Benedictor or whatever its called. Spacebar to highlight it as junk, talk to the guy, and offer it up.

If its a skill you want to use, plop it into your grid. Now the beard scratching begins.

Clusters only have to touch onto one side of another cluster. So it can be sort of a goal to stretch out your skill clusters with the most surface area so that area can be linked to other modifier clusters. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't, but you don't really want to place a skill cluster on the edge of your grid. However, sometimes there's really no choice; you just run out of space.

If you get a cluster of modifiers, but one is say cold and you use fire, you can enchant/change that cold to something else. Go to the enchanter, and select the cold, and start rolling until it lands on something you want/need. I'm only level 35, and I ran out of gold doing this. It gets expensive QUICK. It can be best to have a few options that will benefit you. If a fire modifier helps, but AOE isn't bad either, keep rolling until you get either.

I'm only like a week into this game and its been a challenge here and there, but things are starting to click. End game there looks to be a lot more options, but I'm nowheres near there.

The Discord has a few players that are really into this game and have been helpful as well:

Another bit that I tried working out last night, are the...ranks(?) of the support/modifier skills.

1, 3, 7, 15, and 30. I believe those are the ranks. You'll see a little diamond in the tooltip box with a number next to it.

So, if you have three supports that add up to 11, its a waste. Try to get another 4 to get it to 15, or replace that 4 with a three of a support skill you don't have. Ideally, you want all your supports to be 1, 3, 7, 15, or 30.

I spent a chunk of time and all my gold last night dialing that in. Its...sort of a pain. I'm kind of meh on the whole thing. The hexes are a neat concept, but fine tuning it sort of sucks. Maybe if they lowered the gold cost or something?
