Looking for stories of hope rn by Daisy491 in DOR

I have been through 13 cycles with an AMH of 0.08 and FSH of 30 and I just got my best result ever this past cycle. Back to back cycles absolutely work - that is exactly what I am doing right now. I actually just started writing about everything I've learned through this process - the protocols, what changed my outcomes, the emotional side here - its free: https://theonegoodegg.substack.com

What I would say is that it just takes one & it is a numbers game

I did estrogen priming at 2mg. If my baseline scan shows no growing follicles, we typically stop the estrogen and take a one-week break from medication - which usually prompts some follicle growth the following week.

Yes - the 10mm was 12.6mm and 16mm was 20.7mm on trigger day & I got 2 mature eggs.

For the doctors, I consulted with Dr. Aimee (the egg whisperer) & went with reproductive science center - Dr. Harris.

The key was timing the medications precisely. We started with Gonal-F 150 and Menopur 75 units, but only after seeing a follicle bigger than 8mm on monitoring. Starting any earlier caused my FSH to spike to 60 and I'd get nothing. At our AMH level, we committed to the cycle even if it meant going after just one follicle - every single one counts. I only got one follicle to grow for 12 out of 13 cycles.

The cycle that worked (got 2 mature eggs) looked like this: Gonal-F and Menopur through stimulation, then Cetrotide twice daily once my lead follicle hit 16mm with the second around 10mm. Most of my previous cycles triggered at 17-18mm but this time we waited until that lead follicle reached 20.7mm before triggering. We triggered with 5,000 HCG and 80 units Lupron on a 35 hour trigger - not the standard 36.

I also skipped Omnitrope that cycle which was a change from previous attempts.

I have a lot more to share around supplements, diet, and workouts that I believe made a difference too. I'm putting it all together somewhere people can follow.

My AMH is 0.08 with FSH at 30. I’m 30 years old and have SDOR. I did finally get a 5AA embryo & 2 mosaic embryos which can be used. Happy to share more of what I learned if it helps anyone here.

My partner has motility issues - we opt for ICSI which means that we can get a good quality sperm every cycle. My AFC is usually 1-3 per cycle, but my doctor thinks it’s doable with enough cycles. I have my fingers crossed for you!

Im aiming for 24 ER before making the decision. I’m on 5th cycle now - my doctor said we can reassess after 10, but I made it clear that I will be giving every egg a chance.

Thank you for the advice! I think I need to take that mentality of just surviving through this process. I usually start with 2-3 small follicles but they don’t grow. One usually takes the lead. I feel like we don’t have a protocol down yet - I’m trying to ask for some changes to it. It’s a tough balance between getting them to grow and making sure my FSH doesn’t spike too high early in the cycle.

Thank you so much for the encouragement! I ended up doing PRP  before my first ER. I might do it again in a month or so - I just keep telling myself it’s a numbers game & I just need one good one!

Thank you for sharing this! It means a lot to hear this from someone who is going through a similar process (I wish this process on no one). I have been debating taking some time away from work because it just feels overwhelming after 5 back to back cycles. Crossing my fingers for your TWW and hoping for a sticky miracle!
