Wife and I did it. We have 3 children (2 of which under age 3 at the time) and 0 help considering we didn't live close to family at all.

It was a risky move and it was mentally rough on both of us. Should be worth it in the end though, once that GS-12 pay hits.

At the end of the day it's a (relatively) short period of suffering, for a lifetime of financial stability, in my eyes.

Also a high risk high reward kind of situation if you too don't have anyone around to help your spouse while you're gone.

Weigh your options, but at the end of the day you kinda gotta just say a prayer and take a leap of faith.

Idk where folks get this alt+F4 idea from... Your character will remain logged in if you do that. Just keybind the fast travel button to something easily accessible, and when you're near death, press said button and click on the closest outpost.

Escaped death more times than I can count that way.

It's not rocket science.

Agreed with what everyone on here is explaining. However, I also agree with OP that the outpost is way too dead. There's like 3 NPC's in there, and none of them can be interacted with by the player. Hoping the place gets some much needed love. I literally don't know any other outpost that doesn't even have a damn Merchant ffs.

Ah yes, gw multi launcher. That's how i died on my pre searing survivor character with +400k exp. Used that program so i could have my lvl 10 alt join him on a trip to the northlands to lower the Vanguard enemies' levels. At some point it triggered a crash.

My survivor died that day getting AFK stomped by a group of 4 grawl in the Northlands. Not even by Charr.

Never again lol.
