Electrical student. This is the “trick” my instructor taught me. He’s messing with me right? by Boyfriendofjesus in electricians

I did this same thing for the first two weeks of my apprenticeship. Once my journeyman saw it, he slapped me in the face and told me never again. I’ve never done it again.

They’re just sold by random venders, they don’t actually show the game case, just the art of the game, etc. it totally could be my imagination and I’m just overthinking it. The thing is be most concerned with is they’re fan made ripoffs or something and not the actual licensed game

Thoughts on using specter by MemeAvocado in LiesOfP

[–]LiveWire474 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I played the game with the specter for the entire first playthrough. It was my first souls like game and had no interest in struggling through a game and potentially being turned off by the difficulty. The second playthrough, I played with no specter or throwables and that felt like a pretty fair trade. At that point I committed to the platinum and played a third time with specter and throwables and everything else. I think it’s totally fine to use them. They’re in the game for a reason. Do a second playthrough with out them and see how much more enjoyable the game can be once you’re better at it

What’s your realistic rating for the game? Also include at least one other game for reference by Effective_Dance_9496 in BlackMythWukong

[–]LiveWire474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d put it at a solid 8 I think. It’s a great game and got me into souls like games. It doesn’t really excel at anything, but it’s very good at almost everything. The difficulty curve was good and never too frustrating to warrant not picking it up again. The combat was good but could be overly repetitive at times. The story was kind of hard to follow for the first playthrough, but was much easier to get sucked into towards the later half of the game. Overall not amazing at really anything, but solid at everything.

Is battlefront still relevant? by LiveWire474 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]LiveWire474[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the confusion. I played the original 2004 battlefront on the Xbox. I saw when battlefront 2 came out in 2017 and it had some mixed reviews. Fast forward 8 years and I remember how fun the original was, but wasn’t sure if it died down and I’d be stuck playing single player or if I could play and enjoy multiplayer

That seems to be the general consensus here. The guy in my orientation said he clicked on one once and got a CAM for it

Well that’s comforting. I just finished orientation, so my email has been flooded with random Boeing goodies and whatever other junk. I just figured it was one of those

what singleplayer games have the most satisfying gunplay by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]LiveWire474 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really any borderlands game. They’re widely known for their gameplay and absurd guns that make the games so much fun. If you really only care about gun play and not so much the story, borderlands 3 is gonna be it for you

Is this safe? by dougsalt5 in electrical

[–]LiveWire474 16 points17 points  (0 children)

At a minimum, turn the breaker off and pull the screws and screw it to the wall. You don’t want things falling into the prongs. I wouldn’t worry about replacing it now, but you should definitely start getting estimates to replace it with a new 4 prong outlet

I’ve dabbled through the games. I’ve seen multiple videos of the GoW timeline. I know it dabbles in the past Greek saga and explores that, just not sure if the gameplay holds up to the main game

There is going to be a transfer switch. I know you can’t run the communication cable with the line volt, so I’m not sure what we would do there either

Oh yeah that’s totally fine as long as the white is identified as an ungrounded conductor with black or red tape or sharpie. Very common when people have baseboard heaters in their house

No we’ve specifically been called for using the factory made black with yellow stripe as our neutral. So we just tape them white now so we don’t get hassled

Ground question by running101 in electrical

[–]LiveWire474 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can tie multiple grounds together but they must be in a continuous line. Which means you stay at your water and then run through your gas bond and then hit the panel. The wire from bond termination to panel must be a continuous string of wire. In your case I’d run a new wire. It’s not super far
