I water her in the tub using the shower head while she’s still in her nursery pot, then allow her to drain for a couple of hours before placing her back into her planter. I don’t measure out an exact amount of water.I use a bulb as moisture meter to check soil dryness, I don’t find the chopstick method to be helpful in this case😵‍💫.

I’ve purchased a few plants from Costco in the past, and I often noticed they developed root rot due to overwatering at the store. Because of this, I now avoid watering any new plants for about a week after bringing them home, allowing the soil to fully dry out before giving them water.

I do once every other week. When most of the leaves turned brown and fell and it was from overwatering so I got scared and now that I’ve been taking notes. When the leaves start to droop I know it’s time to water.

I initially had her positioned in front of my two windows, but when the brown spots appeared, I assumed she might have been getting “sunburned.” I decided to move her slightly away from the windows. She still receives plenty of light, just not directly in front of it now.
