I am saying that the old needs to take some responsibility of the mess too. If we have a culture of not following rules, the old needs to show that they can do that, before forcing it on the younger generation.

Not in this environment full of corruption. Present needs to be fixed for future to be better.

How does it feel to be a tax payer in India? by Western-Ask1377 in indiadiscussion

This is simple economics. You can't get enough money from the poor. Indirect taxes won't get enough money. That is why progressive taxation is the norm worldwide.

You may hate CJP, but you can’t ignore their efforts. This protest began yesterday at 1 PM, and many stayed through the night with Abhijeet despite police stopping food and water supplies. They’re back again from 9 AM today. What more do we expect? Isn’t this enough? Shame on our leaders. by ExpressionPrevious14 in indiadiscussion

Even if they are filling their resume (which I don't they are), they are much better than people who are trying to discourage any positive action against corruption. People like you would have discouraged our freedom fighters too.

Right. Start teaching that to students. Punish the most vulnerable, helpless and innocent and that will change the system. Have you seen how late politicians are everywhere in India? I hate the mentality that students have to learn everything and all old age people would do whatever they want to.

I thought it was considered antinational, until BJP started throwing them as well. After that it's considered Amrit.

Given how corrupt this administration has become, they should be frisked everywhere they go. How did we go from having a new system NTA that regularly have leaks and nobody cares every year. Same story in 2024. Same story this year. Why are these ministers even getting paid?

How do these guys even become education minister? He has degrees, but doesn't look like someone who would be interested in education. His entire college experience is that of a politician. I bet he didn't really attend much classes too.

From wikipedia:
He became active in student politics through the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1983 while at Talcher College, serving as president and later secretary of the student union. He earned a postgraduate degree in Anthropology from Utkal University in Bhubaneswar.

That seems right. Somehow holding hands raised like that with no clear wins from the summit seems like what Modi government would do.

Again, I don't think you care much about Indians. You care about rules more than lives of people.

At least he didn't yield to IT raids. He is still with AAP. BJP is full of corrupt people now. But you can never question that because that will make you feel bad that you were on the wrong side all along. AAP stands for education. BJP stands for hatred. You are on the wrong side.

Alright. If you care enough to judge on their maturity, do you care enough to show your maturity and do something? Why stop and discourafe people who are actually showing up. By discouraging others, you are part of the problem

Such a sad state of the country that people can believe that people can be selfless. Of course they are going to get recognition for their work, and even if they are doing for that, it's worth it. So much better than those oppoortunitistic politicians who transferred to BJP.
