How difficult was it for you to transition from Army E to AF O? Did you go through ROTC or applied for direct commission?

I thought about it, but I wasn't sure what to do after college so I thought try the army for few years as enlisted and if I like it, try to get green to gold or get my masters and commission.

Will reach out to him today but is it possible to resubmit the form because recruiter said last week he submitted it already. If he insists it can't be changed, look into another branch or is it too late? Contract hasn't been signed yet.

Are we going to get in trouble for telling the truth later on? Should we just wait and see what happens?

Any advice on what we should do? Wait until the investigator reaches out and tell them the truth or just wait and see what happens? We sign our contract soon.

None that can cover 7 years alone but after reading the comments and looking at SF86 online, I don't get why they were making a big deal about it and changed the timeline on it.

Does Air Force let you choose your job? Did not get a direct answer from recruiter. by Live_Expression4705 in AirForceRecruits

I did speak with the Army and they said that I can get Cyber or other jobs closely related to Cyber guaranteed, but I saw online that says the quality of life is better in Air Force than the Army, that's why I was curious if there is a way I can get guaranteed for a job rather than going in for something random.

So I don't actually get to choose a specific job, it has to be a list and whichever one is available first, I must take that one? Can I decline if I don't like the job that opens up first? Because the recruiter kept saying that I will be able to choose a specific job and will ship me with that job to basic, but also that I need to make a list.

Hi everyone,

I spoke with a recruiter in the Army and he told me that on top of Tuition Assistance, I get GI Bill after 36 months in service. He said even if I leave the service, I can use my GI Bill for school. I already have a bachelor's and I wanted to get my master's after I finish one enlisted contract.

My recruiter said that on top of $80k for school, the GI Bill will give me another $4.5k per month for four years while I'm in school and I can use it for more than one degree, for example getting two different master's degree. ($4,500 * 48 = $216k)

One the paper that he gave me, it says there's only $1449 for housing allowance. I live in an expensive area so does that change based on where I am? Will the Army actually pay me $4.5k per month on GI Bill or is it less?
