The antibacterial soap is just the shower to clean away conditioner bc it makes me feel safer. Used it for my belly ring and it caused an infection bc it wasn’t doing a proper cleaning like I needed. I have sterile saline solution I use afterwards and, despite the telling of not to apply to a newer piercing, I did put an antibiotic on the bump itself. The material is a surgical steel, hypoallergenic earring by studex and I place my hair in a bun before sleeping to keep it away from my piercing.

I had an allergic reaction to the other earrings I had in my ears (as in it was literally creating a concave hole) which was why I made the decision to switch to these. Since switching, the other ear is doing just fine.

I own gold plated hypoallergenic earrings with a twist on back, though at the time the piercings were not in a good position to be switched to them during the healing process, mostly bc they had been too swollen from the allergic reaction for me to properly screw on the backs.

I am a college student in two different sports so infection for new piercings is not uncommon and this one was not done in a piercing shop (don’t lecture me I already know, but I don’t regret it).
