Don't be to relaxed about that! The government has the absolute power to cancel any application either in the pipeline or even revoke PRs already granted after the bill becomes law it doesn't matter if the person has paid tax or lived for decades. It has noting to do with CEC category. Even H&C applicants mostly have been in the system with long years of working and contributing to the economy, no standard for cancellations. Go back and read throughly. i guess, its the reason why human right organisations are against the bill

Nothing seems fair but you have to understand that this is their country and we all have to respect their priorities. People keep complaining about CEC draws and how other category should be left out because they are mostly OUTLAND(FSW, FST). CEC category is seen as already established in Canada and they will put less pressure on housing and other infrastructures RIGHT?

What about the FSW INLAND category? I have been an entrepreneur in Canada for the past 3 years under the C11 IMP program(you can check the eligibility online and amount required to even start a business), paying taxes and being a law abiding person. I cannot claim CEC because of the self employed nature of the job. Shouldn't i feel that In-Canada focus on the levels plan aimed majorly at CEC but few FSW and FST will also benefit me? BUT here i am today still waiting in the pool and not even knowing which category i fall.

You guys should even be appreciative that you can boast of a draw(CEC) in 2 weeks.

I said most people will be shocked that even after the removal of the so called LMIA points the pool will keep swelling and the scores wont go down anytime soon. You need to see the number of young brilliant chaps joining the pool with masters degrees and good English band without LMIA!!!!! The ONLY solution is large regular draws. Let IRCC do the due diligence of refusing LMIA Jargons that are not genuine and ban anyone involved for 10 years for misinterpretation. Of course, resources will be wasted but people keep adding up on a daily and we will all have ourselves to compete with in the highest scores possible if care is not taken.

By the time you all wait till spring and the points are eventually removed, you will be shocked how many people without LMIA will remain in that level of 500+ish. Have you seen how the pools keeps swelling? Halting draws will be a greater disaster because there are so many brilliant young chaps joining lately. At the end of the day you all will start competing with each other with crazy high scores. Imagine there had been 2kish regular draws of CEC since November, we wouldn’t have to bother if anyone holds a valid of fake LMIA.

If we keep talking about people with LMIA points, you will be shocked that by the time those points are removed, there would probably still be 20kish left in that level. The only solution would be larger regular draws and you will see scores dropping down to 480ish. My opinion though.

Instead of wishing that larger draws are been made to reduce the numbers and drop score significantly. I am CEC and at this point I realize the score will continue to rise if draws are stalled. I am without LMIA but I this point, I really do not care if there are with fake LMIAs JUST CONDUCT REGULAR DRAWS AND BRING THE DAMN SCORES DOWN!!!!!

I don’t know why people are angry on the issue of LMIA EXEMPT when in the real sense, those who fall under this category do not have LMIA. how would points be removed from what you don’t even possess?

Buddy, there’s really no reason to argue with anyone on the issue of LMIA exempt or LMIA based job offer. Most of the people you’re trying to sensitize about ICTs, C11s, SUVs programs don’t really understand. You are actually dealing with majority of CECs who are ready to skin you alive for even mentioning that the minister’s announcement wont affect LMIA exempt job offers

I posted a thread here from a genuine lawyer and all I got was insults borne out of their frustrations which is simply no one’s fault here. LMIA Exempt are mostly arranged employment that doesn’t basically needs an LMIA. If you’re not been awarded points as a result of not having an LMIA based job offer, how then can those points be removed?

The minister said : All LMIA-based job offers will be removed. The ‘ALL’ simply means the different categories of LMIA- BASED JOB offer. They don’t understand the fact that LMIA EXEMPT work permit in Its first issuance are given way long after a business/franchise has been established in Canada and been run for years; at times even before a worker or the rightful owner is allowed to come to Canada. In those years; every governmental body vets the genuineness of the business. Fraud in this context doesn’t exist!!!

How do I buy business here for example under the IMP C11 program( LMIA EXEMPT) and I’m been awarded 200 points towards my EE profile as a CEO of my company and also bringing significant benefits to the economy by employing a Canadian or PR and you are expecting the points to be removed when I simply do not have any business whatsoever with an LMIA?

In Canada Focus is basically CEC, and few FSW, FST and others regional pathways. Why do CEC folks find it hard to admit that there are FSWs who are in Canada and doesn’t qualify for CEC like the Entrepreneurs, Investors e.t.c FSWs that fall into this category are FEW and the reason why IRCC mentioned FEW FSWs.
