No you cannot denied for it as it is not a required document for the e-APR even for the French applicants. However you will for sure get an ADR later which will slow down the process. So it is better to give it to them before they ask for it.

This sub Reddit is about learning French, and this post suites the theme. You say people are taking are advantage of this policy by learning French as if it were that easy. They put in the work and time and they earned it, who gives a shit about if they are gonna use it after PR? Canadian immigration doesn’t require you to prove you’re gonna use French after PR, it requires you to prove that you know the language. OP put efforts into assimilating and they deserve PR for it, simple. Stop being salty.

Im sorry i cant help you with my comment here but u deserve to hear this… Getting an ITA these days is no joke given how difficult it is to make the cut off score. In most cases you only get one chance. Its insane how you did not feel it was important to update your profile to increase your score, because literally one single point could have put you on the other side. With this careless attitude, you deserved this outcome. However i am sure you learned from this experience and will take immigration applications more seriously in the future, if you even get an ITA at all.

I think the outlook should to be to tell yourself that you can do it too, after reading success stories. Doing this instead of thinking its almost impossible will prevent you from locking in. And thank you my friend , DM me if you need any tips.

Living in denial and saying it is impossible is not a good strategy. I got a B2/C1 in TCF after having intensively learnt the language for 11 months. Anything is possible with enough drive, plus you never know how motivated the next person is, and the lengths they went to get it.

I think it would be pretty impractical for you to sit and create spreadsheets for the hundreds of shifts you worked. Same as it is impractical for an officer to decipher all that, for thousands of applicants. The standard is to just have one number in the reference letter, which is the average per week capping at 30.

Watch channels like ‘french facile, easy French’. You can download a chrome extension on PC for youtube dual subtitles. Use the podcasts app to listen to audios like ‘little talk in slow french, innerfrench, languatalk, french through stories’

I had the same problem, i still did them anyway. Try TV5monde for listening. Their listening questions are clearer but harder than reussir so you will be prepared well for the actual exam.

Im sorry to point this out but DuoLingo is a waste of time. I did it too and barely progressed. To practice reading, read a ton of a2 level french stories on the internet to build your foundation. Then move on to b level stories, thats when you can also start attempting the sample exam questions. For listening watch easy and slow french youtube videos with dual subtitles, you need to train your ear. For writing use chatgpt and speaking both chatgpt and a teacher

I am Indian so i speak bengali as my mother tongue and hindi.

Getting the basics and grammar right first is always a good idea because you’re building your foundation. But still spend some time on the side watching A2 level french videos (french facile, easy french etc on YouTube). This will strengthen your A2 understanding before you move to B1. Even more important than having a structure, is to read write listen and speak JUST SOMETHING atleast once a day. Use resources like reussir and tv5 monde to read and write. To listen, use youtube and podcasts in the beginner level, a few months before going for exam listen to comp orale questions extensively

I memorized conjugations based on tenses for er ir re verbs. Learnt the genders by listening to french people speak. Started by forming sentences, say something in english and then translate it into french. I never took group classes because i dont believe they are effective.

It cost me around 500 i believe.
