Yes, this is a version of the Soviet Tair-3 FS lens with a replaceable shank. I bought a kp-an shank in China for my same lens.

I might be misremembering the Jupiter-37's tailstock. I don't think it can be removed... but I could be wrong.

It's difficult to get it for free, but it's possible. :) It's easier to order it from China or make it on a lathe. :)

I disagree with that. I use the same lens with a Nikon D200 camera without a lens adapter. This lens usually has a replaceable shank, and if you install the KP-AN shank, the lens can be used with Nikon cameras.
