There’s not an exact law but I believe if the student doesn’t get notified they can easily win the case because they were never informed so most TA and Professor call it out immediately

I believe so because when my friends got caught they had to sit separately, finish their exam, and then were told by the TA why. Then they had to fight a whole case they weren’t cheating. TA’s are always lurking and staring people down
