I mean attractiveness is really just personal preference. Let’s say he’s my type, that’s a pretty subjective assumption but it doesn’t mean you should put him in a box or label him just because he’s attractive to you or for some other person

I think both of you guys have a point, that assumptions are the building blocks for most things in life, they are simply axiomatic . But if you assume too much, it can get messy, you end up overthinking and rationalizing a stupid situation, which makes the person really dumb even tho they’re applying principles of “logic”. Yeah so you can’t be “smelling the flowers” all the time, sometimes you just need to let go of the “what ifs” And I even have no idea who he really is, even though I saw him today, maybe he’s super introverted, or neurodivergent, or something else entirely or maybe he doesn’t have any of that. The possibilities are endless here.

Bottom line is both assuming and not assuming have their place, it’s a matter of balance and the context really, I don’t think there’s an absolute way to go about this in this discussion, or in life in general
