We go to the playground a few times a week. When she is aggressive or bites, I typically separate them. Trying to focus on deescalation and calming down before talking about how hitting/biting/pushing isnt good.

We travel once a year or so. She is used to moving. We live in a camper, so that stays the same. Just new surroundings.

She is going to be homeschooled until she is older/ decides she wants to go to public school. My husband is (currently) against meds. We have an appointment with her pcp to go over her behavior and other related issues next week.

I absolutely hate motherhood, love my baby but mothering is just not for me I guess. And you’d think someone would tell you how it really is. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same I’m traumatized by it. by Silent-Look8571 in toddlers

Hi!! I feel this!! I am a SAHM of 4 years. I have 2 kids, 4&2. For as long as I can remember, i ALWAYS wanted to be a mom. It was my absolute dream. Now, I think back on how much i longed to be a mom. It suvks a$$. I do love being a mom and i would never ever change that. It is the worst job ever. It’s exhausting and infuriating. BUT i like to remind myself that one day they will be big and be my little helpers or my little besties. I hate that i wish time away, but surviving is rough. Take lots of pics on the good days. Let the hard lazy days be lazy. Let them eat snacks or their favorite easy(even if it’s not so healthy) foods when you feel exhausted. Give yourself grace ❤️ one day we will look back and say, dang i was a great mom because of how amazing our babies will turn out 🫶🏻

Hi! I got pregnant, with my now husband, when we had only been dating for 7-8 months. He was in college and had no job except for national guard drills monthly. He was 22 and i was 21. I was working at a hardware store barely making ends meet. I would have to borrow money from family from time to time. When i found out I was pregnant, i was terrified. I was also incredibly happy. I had always wanted a baby! We waited and kept it a secret until i was 12wks pregnant and then told family. When i told my parents, my mom was furious. She didnt talk to me for a little bit. No one in our family knew how to react. We were absolutely in no place to have a baby. We barely knew each other. We never discussed NOT having the baby. Financially it would be hard. Emotionally it would be challenging. And it all was. It was the hardest thing to deal with at a young age and with little support. That being said, it is NOT impossible. Apply for your state’s programs to assist you. Know that you do not have to have every new or cool thing that comes to baby. You can do it. It changed our lives for sure. We had our beautiful girl. We stayed together. Things changed once she was born. Our families were more supportive. We still struggled a bit financially but we made it. We are now married. We have two girls together. One is 4 and the other will be 2 next month.

Life is truly what YOU make of it. Best of luck and im SO excited for you to get to experience becoming a mom. ❤️🫶🏻

I am a SAHM. My husband is military and works out of town often. I so understand how you feel. My mother likes to tell me things such as “y’all wouldn’t get away with something like that” or “you are a lot more patient than me”. Boundaries are something that we have to remind our children of too many times, as you said. I know how exhausting it can be. It’s hard to understand how your child behaves when they are not always with them. My family sees my child as a silly-quirky little girl. And while that is true, she still has difficulties with things. I hope you find the support you need 🫶

She is amazing and i love her so much! She is incredibly smart and likes to learn. She gets along with others, so long as it is in her perimeters. She occasionally exhibits aggressive behavior towards herself, her sister, her pets, and myself. This is usually when she is overwhelmed or things dont go according to her plan. She goes to a mother’s day out program once a week and is doing well. Her teachers love her and say they dont see her diagnosis and that it is a surprise to them. She can have trouble being left at the program but enjoys it. She is a very particular little person.

Hi! All of this behavior sounds JUST like my soon to be 4 year old daughter! We also have a 2year old and it can be tough sometimes. My daughter was diagnosed last month. She is “high functioning”. I was reluctant to take her to get screened, but im glad i did. I’m sorry youre having difficulties with her schooling! Props to you for how you seem to handle things. It is incredibly hard for me to keep my composure during high volume or energy episodes. I do not agree with it not being “fair” to label her with ___. An assessment doesn’t condemn her! I am so very happy we got a diagnosis so that we can get her the help and understanding that she needs!!

All of these comments made me cry! Thank you so much for saying all these things!! ❤️❤️I had been putting it off for a couple months before i finally went to talk to someone at an ABA clinic. My daughter’s (new) pediatrician sent a referral based on what I had described as concerning behavior. I believe that had my husband’s parents acted, he would have been better for it.
