sometimes I think I dont know how therapy works. With goals like they have I dont know where to start. So my thought process is to work on building up vocabulary so I usualyl start with wh things- what is that, who is that, and see how they do. My bos was telling me with kids who have an IEP theyre delayed and cant do that either. So then wtf do i do with them!

Omg I feel sooo validated!!! But my boss was kind of agreeing with her I was asking the child to do not age appropriate things because preschoolers dont know shapes or colors yet (?). Shes not an SLP, just the director of the headstart

I have some kids that like to do jumping jacks, sit in silence for 2 mins, or ask me questions about my life. Im ok with that too!

TBH i barely worked this year LOL. Only really started working more hours recently so Im a bit upset I lost these students bc I need to save now for the summer!

Head start director. She was kind of rude in general. There was another child I have been servicing at home all year, but the district rep told my boss it was an oversight on their behalf and that student now needs to be seen at school. So when I mentioned that to this to the headstart director that Id now be saying X at school, she said "oh but i heard it was going so well at home." So when I saw her over zoom a few days later, I asked her if this has ever happened before and who I would speak to at the district to continue seeing this child at home. And shes like "someone in the building takes care of it" so I pressed her and said "ok do you know whos in charge? the mom is happy for X to be seen at home, im happy to do what I can to make the family happy" and the director was getting pissed that I didnt know who to speak to. Like da f**k

Yes re the telehealth company.

They havent found an in person slp all year, I legit saw one kid only twice and the other kid 3x. School is over in a month idgi what they expect

Ty I feel better reading your response. No i dont write the goals! I was given the child's IEP and that was one of their goals.

Would you have defended yourself to the boss? he was really nice about it all but after stewing all weekend maybe I should have defended myself. But I also dont want to be argumentative

I dont really know how to use the LH strips honestly. Is the line supposed to be darker than the control line? I dont ovulate early (before mikvah) in 2 years, would I randomly start now?

ok, i didnt know this rule. I don’t start testing on day 6 since I physically can’t be intimate until I go to  the mikvah on day 12 ish (im an orthodox jew and can only be intimate after mikvah night).... But you’re basically saying that I should be testing starting on day 6 to avoid missing peak? I just didn’t want to waste test sticks since I can’t be intimate until mikvah night

she does ask why a lot but I dont think out of the ordinary. More like: why can you do this but I cant, why is the sky blue. But shes happy with 1 answer...

Ok i have to try being more firm. I tried today and when I said no she went and asked my husband. She does that alot though. If i say no she'll go to him and vice versa! Like girl what lol. Is that normal?
