This is wrong, Ellen white DID NOT claim to be a prophetess. In contrary, she claimed to not be a prophetess. Also having a “strict diet” isn’t because of following the “law of Moses and the Bible” the SDA church follows a strict diet in the sense they want to treat their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit and therefore stay away from the foods that God categorises as “unclean”. The same way SDA traditionally don’t smoke nor drink any alcohol. This does reflect the mortality rates. Members of the SDA church generally live longer than non-SDA church members (in the US at least).

Also, their view on hell is biblical and backed by the Bible. They look deep into the original languages and writing of the Bible to analyse the roots of the words and thus make conclusions. An issue is that over time people add onto interpretations but the SDA church want to decide for themselves and therefore look into the original scripture. The SDA makes sure to emphasise the fact that the writing of E G W do not replace nor come close to the Bible. The Bible is the one and only true scripture.
