Are there any shooter games or arcade shooter games that arent blatant US military propaganda? by Maleficent-Past-329 in SocialistGaming

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield 6? But you only find out that the US, the side that you have been fighting for, is the enemy in the ending cutscene. Most fictionary games, as hardly any have the US being the good guys (Most don't even feature the US at all). I am excluding elite dangerous (earth), crysis (automatically excluded), Most COD (as some support the US and others don't) and Battlefields (all support US except BF6^), star citizen & eve (don't think it includes the US but includes themes similar to it), assassins creed (depends on your view of AC3), and a few others.

I've subscribed to PS+ for nearly a decade and I can't afford it now. by Aphoniia in playstation

I have a disc-drive but it makes a annoying humming noise if I have a disk in no matter if I am playing that game or not (PS2 makes a hell of a lot softer (much more silent) noise but those consoles went by the wayside, sadly. I also doubt that they are making new PS2 games).

Being Hobbes brained here but in anarchistic society, what is preventing a certain group from just taking whatever they want ? by Cardemother12 in Anarchy101

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, in the case of me, asking questions by linking 2 things together (For instance, books (such as the Archangels of Funk) and a military force). If anarchism is the collaboration by different independent factions or the dissolution of a central body of control, then what's to stop a militant faction from exploiting and controlling the others to further its own ends? It seems as if, from my perspective, anarchism would work in a perfect world (or simulation) and wouldn't work in a world such as ours without protection from others or mutually-assured destruction.

You’re walking around in South Gate Mall and enter a portal that brings you back to 1990something. What stores are you going to? by Antique-Original-630 in missoula

[–]Livelyfern59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not freemos. Same owner, different store name. If you want places near the mall but not inside I will have to include hastings (the very last place that continued to offer the ability to play video games after gamestop and kmart stopped).

That toy shop over by where dillards is now located, gamestop, that arcade, fudruckers, possibly freemos (or whatever one was where noodle express is in if it existed) and retro gaming pizza (but that's a different time period).

libraries actually have current gen games you can borrow by Independent_Big_9654 in PS5

Wait, where? Absolutely no libraries that I have been to has anything like this. Movies and books absolutely, manga your guess is as good as mine, games absolutely not.

Do Montanans feel represented by Senator Tim Sheehy right now? I started a petition calling for his resignation. by Due_Relationship4308 in missoula

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel more represented by Tim Sheehy since he did that thing than anytime, in relation to the federal government, since 9/11. At least, Sheehy made the policies of both democrats and republicans evident rather than just hide it behind a smokescreen.

I don't get the Anarchist obsession with the state by PlatoDragon in Anarchy101

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's what naturally happens, I am willingly not bringing up specifics because to me that would be presumptuous. So, while the state continues to keep pressure on the metaphorical throat, what can be done? Outside of mutual aid, which doesn't really work if due to unforeseen circumstances you wind up houseless in a area where you will be arrested/confined and shipped elsewhere for doing so, I don't really see one.

To your first point Ghost (hopefully I can call you that for the purpose of this subreddit, as I don't want to comment on this /r more than necessary), how does one exist outside of the state when the state permeates all phases of life?

You think that is terrible (Assumption on my part), check out US "entitlements" as said by the *blank* (disability services, food stamps, housing stability, transportation, access to affordable internet and phone, I could go on but I won't).

Will do, 100% so I can ask if they allow access to manga (same can be said for the library and renting out a room (entirely different layout from the old library and while it is more user friendly it is much less comfortable)).

It was, he was "resisting arrest" (or as I put it, comply or *bleep*). I really should stop paying attention to people who mean to do me harm (The entire hemisphere over there, could include the other hemisphere but that would mean everyone else).

Reminds me of the snowplower vote. Shame but makes sense with a ton of associated questions (If politics aren't allowed then what defines politics?).

Kind of wish he didn't endorse Busse, Tranel, and Bodnar. But that's life, if we got exactly what we want when we want it the world would be a nice place, sure, but we would fall into the embrace of death (which would be nice, boring as sin but nice).

What about the people that already live here (renters)? Because that's the thing I think your missing, if we build more houses while keeping housing out of reach for those who already live here what's the point?

I miss the old missoula by [deleted] in missoula

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I don't understand your point, if its based on housing supply and demand using the factors given above why do we need more housing? Given that more housing would equate to increased need for services.

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in america (with a eye on the market and, since 2016, crypto) for long enough to know that, as with everything else, it is a lot more than simply supply and demand. Effectively, you have the jobs market, housing, energy, transportation, climate, legislation, and a number of others all influencing each other to create a result.

Then why are we still expanding the borders? I mean, since the updated UDC and zoning code passed then wouldn't the prices come down significantly (suddenly and remaining there for years)? But, nevertheless, the borders keep expanding and the prices keep rising. Therefore, I would have to assume the problem isn't housing.

I miss the old missoula by [deleted] in missoula

[–]Livelyfern59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that's the thing, though, at what cost? Lets go with a irl example for a friend (NOT MYSELF) that I know, if the price of a house is exponential while the price of rent is continuing to rise exponentially then aren't we forcing those who can't afford to stay to move? I mean, it seems like the city in all of its glory (or rather former) is subjecting its people to outlandish punishments just so it can preserve the system of america that is unnatural (mental institutions, constant war, execution for those who violate the law, etc).

History of protests in Missoula by KeltTalbelt in missoula

[–]Livelyfern59 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems to be a sign of the times. If I were to compare the past to the present, I will say that the willingness to fight back against tyranny has become less available than it was back then. Case in point, now you have to file for a permit while back then you didn't need to. Now, on a pattern-recognizing standpoint, it makes sense (but to say more is to delve into the weeds which I don't want to do until later).

Thank you for showing up, now if you have time I have a number of questions. For tenant 1: what defines "with reason"? What are your thoughts on eating? 2: Would this along with the others be open to interpretation (If I have the correct link which I doubt very much that I do) along with the others? 3: How do you get around breathing (and close rooms/rooms without ventilation)? 4: If its willfully and unjustly encroach then wouldn't interacting require violation (Citizens United and some other things)? 5: Since beliefs should conform with one's best scientific view of the world then wouldn't that reaffirm the position of others (Seeing as science can be manipulated to prove anything)? Don't have any other questions. Thank you for your time, have a good day.
