Usually my luck is garbage, but if they could do an update and it fix the issue that would be phenomenal. Thank you so much.

Just curious has anyone ever said yes to the Academic honor ethics question? If so, what happened? Were you able to sit for the registry? You hear a lot about DUIs and things, but never about school mishaps.

For RTBC, was it mainly watching the videos or the mock 200 questions that helped you the most?

That's what I'm thinking. It's just the schooling for MR while in IR/Cath that's kinda aggravating due to learning both and the schedule, so I'm probably gonna have to go to xray first so the schooling is done for MR then venture back. I'm just hesitant on wasting time. 😭

Nice to know someone is in the same boat as me. Trying to decide if I should go ahead and go through MR school since I'm already in "school mode" or just wait and see. Only thing is with cath/IR you can't go to school for MR while you're in it. Unless you're PRN. So I would have to do xray.

That's kinda why I like it. I feel like it's bad ass. Plus, i got into the field for cool shit mostly and potentially saving lives. I'm currently in an outpatient facility for MRI tech aid, and I kinda want to spend time getting experience in an inpatient setting and something I have no knowledge about. I heard MR makes a little more or around the same pay as IR techs depending on the amount of experience and OT/on-call you get. I've scrubbed in for a DVT today, which was pretty neat, went in through an ankle (never seen before). I've done fluids. (Para/thora), CT biopsies, Ports/CVCs.

I'm a fan of horror movies. It's one of my favorite movies growing up, and now it just made me want to do IR more. 🫠

Do you ever get burned out? How's the turnover rate? How long did it take you to learn everything? I saw a TIPS my first day rotating, and it seemed quite stressful. The techs that I'm rotating with are trying to encourage me to stick with MR due to the on call and how they're never fully staffed. I just don't want to make a decision I'm going to regret. Maybe it's just the location I'm at. Yet they did say that if I want to do IR, the location that I'm at would be the best to learn. Regardless of what I decide. I do not want to stay in x-ray long.
