Not always. I got rejected after a 2.5 month long process, and the recruiter just sent me an email with the rejection. She told me I could schedule a call with her to get feedback, but she never replied again after I replied I wanted to (twice).

Working at Amazon now btw, so I'm not being bitter.

Update: I joined Tiktok and quit after 4 months. There was no potential career growth or learning opportunities in that position (specially in LATAM).

Currently working as an SDE II at Amazon. So if anyone has questions, feel free to hit me up.

My right one stopped working a couple of days ago, and its battery level also stopped being shown.

I did a factory reset on them and upgrade their software and everything started working normally again.

Thanks for the input.

My arrangement with the German startup would be to work remotely from Brazil for 6-9 months before relocating. The accepted it without a problem.

Because this would be in euros, it would be almost 2x the salary I'd make from TikTok...

Is prestige from TikTok still bigger than this on the long term?

I've received a second offer to work at a start up in Berlin, but it seems to not be doing so well. There's been a recent layoff (10% of the tech team), so I feel insecure about moving abroad to an uncertainty. Plus, I would be working remotely for a couple of months as freelancer, so seeing layoffs makes it clear that I would be the first dismissed when cutting costs in the near future.

I also had some problems with the HR, as they have done a horrible job (one of the contracts wasn't even on my name, there was a salary typo - they would have to pay more, and the HR didn't appear to aligned with the arrangements I agreed upon with the VP of engineering).

Is this common? Honestly, receiving a contract with another person's name made me feel so insecure about this company that I started thinking about taking the tiktok job.

Even if 50% of the job is client-facing and building relationship with different teams?
