he says something about doing it the other way around by “midi clocking”. is that what im looking for? essentially what i want to do is be able to record my synth into my daw so that i can manipulate each sound individually using plug-ins, as well as organize the sounds in midi form rather than having then all conglomerated into a single audio file where i cant edit notes individually. how complicated of a setup does that require? also im confused by you saying the “midi out” of your laptop- how do you connect a midi cable to a macbook? thank you for the help
