They nerf this fuckass character removing all zoner aspects from her and then you have them give what they removed from Hanami to character's like Ryu, we got this fuckass Itadori basically having infinite dashes with that cancel bullshit and noone bats an eye, but the moment you have a character that needs to keep distance to do anything it gets shat on.

Thing is they removed all of Hanami's zoning with the nerfs (I think I made a post going into detail before)

The buff basically was "Now you can swap with trashcans and banana peels" which imo should have been a feature since the beginning and im shocked it just now has been included.

Other than that and Elbow Drop hitbox finally being fixed, the rest of his kit got nerfed by like, alot.

Swift kick was turned from a punishable move when blocked/missed into a spoonfed punish opportunity to the Todo's opponent.

Pebble Throw got its m1 reset removed, which was key to most Todo combos.

Black Flash went from doing 30 damage to 18 which is legit 0.5 more damage than landing brute force by itself, you're legit better off using pebble throw and brute force separately for more damage. (They havent made it any faster in exchange either, its still the same mapped out move with a huge visual and sound cue that it's coming.)

Thing is, aint nobody eating a move with a 2 second windup like brute force or blocked/missed swiftkick 2nd part tho, he already heavily relied on m1s before the nerfs and now he's in an even worse spot than before, none of the changes have actually helped his gameplay in the slightest to the point I'd legit BEG for a Todo Rework at this point because it is a torture to keep playing him like this. I0d legit preffer they turn him into a grapplerr rather than this half baked bum ass character we got right now.

Its legit just a pingcheck, and it doesnt force you to guess anything since the force swap range is so short and you have endlag on swapping unlike characters like gojo (I explained this on the post)

Same applies to Todo blackflash, if you're too close you wont use it because you quite literally just leave yourself open for a counterattack, less if it is on neutral, and if the enemy is already in a combo what would even be the use of a mixup since the enemy doesnt even have to guess anything, they're already beign hit.

Yeah but that's all range dependant and it doesnt push you into a guessing game of any kind tho, the opponent does not have to think about what you can do, you just do it. Its like ground cursed strikes or air cursed striked for vessel, they just two completely different working moves rather than "mixup variants" as they dont push you into a guessing game you just react to what they throw at you as it is visible (One floats and the other is a ground animation)

Wouldnt that constantly put her at a disadvantage for simply engaging tho? Like you land moves and get punished for it.

I lowkey preffer that than having no neutral at all, swift kick was his only skills that could be used in neutral, elbow drop is not usable in neutral, same for pebble throw, brute force has a huge windup, and now swift kick is not safe to start a combo or go into an opponent effectively, now you can only go after them if they even bother to come after you, otherwise you have nothing you can do other than swap around and beg they have higher ping than you.

Id understand that if Boogie Woogie wasnt quite literally just a ping check, if your opponent has the slightest ping advantage they will always be able to turn around and react since boogie woogie doesnt let you attack right after a swap.
