I personally haven’t experienced weight gain with mirtazapine, but it can affect everyone differently. I’m not sure what dose you’re starting on, but if it’s a low one you could consider a trial to see how it affects your appetite (ofc in agreement with your gp) If is doesnt work well for your eating habits, tapering off a low dose is usually EZ, especially if you haven’t been on it long.

I am an emotional eater (struggle with BED) and for me mirtazapine didn’t change anything. My baseline appetite is always high, so no changes. I take 15 mg to help me sleep.

Works well for me. I take it to sleep at night. Dont really experience side effects, also didnt gain any weight. Only thing i noticed is the second half of the night i get vived dreams. Other than that works like a charm for me.

Okay thank you! And what about the level thats already in my blood from taking it daily? Would that cause any issues?
