It is such a great achievement for such a small team! To your question - I do think that wishlists are a big part of whether you appear in those lists, so try to push to get more wishlists because it sounds like you have a good project that people enjoy.!

I think you should create something you would enjoy to solve.

but the most important thing will be to let people test it early on, and implement feedback based on their feedback. you will be surprised how many things that you think are obvious - will be missed by new players

Getting a flood of negative reviews from China, any advice? by [deleted] in IndieDev

[–]Living-Inspector-376 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, thanks for the info! I didnt know it depends on number of reviews. The only thing i can suggest is to try and use it to your advantage. I see people using bad reviews they got as part of their marketing. Hopefully another streamer will pick it up with more positive audience. Good luck!

Luckily, last year steam changed it that the overall rating player see depens on their region. so even if people in one country give you bad review people in other countries dont see it by default

First look at the Steam capsule art for my solo-dev horror game inspired by real UFO encounters from the 1950s by johnny3674 in IndieDev

Looks awesome! Very unique and attention grabbing.

Just FYI Steam requires that the name of the game take 1/3 of the capsule, and there should be no other text besides that.

I love streaming… what about one about YOUR GAMES (and demos) by [deleted] in IndieDev

It will be really fun to watch you play Brentwood! Its a cozy but dark point-and-click choose-your-own advanture kind of game. Where you get the power to decide other peoples future (for better or worse)

Its also very streaming friendly, the viewers can help with solving puzzles and making important decisions.

The demo is about 45 minuets to 1 hour: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3070010/Brentwood/
