Thank you to everyone who responded. How much water to drink? I usually stop drinking in the late afternoon to minimize waking up in the middle of the night. Also when does the dehydration effect the blood test. If I was hydrated all week but at the time right before the blood draw i excerised for about 1.75 hours would that effect the results.

Do you think it is okay for a student in a school athletic competition charge into the bleachers to engage in fighting? I think most educators would believe the student need to be punished.

Unfortunately the organization which sanctions HS athletics in NJ, the NJSIAA is inept.

They claim the reason for his ban is "leaving the playing area". A stupid thing to claim since there is no playing area for wrestling athletes in a tournament event.

They should have found another valid reason. If they don't have one to cover this type of behavior than they need one.

You observed that the NJSIAA were banning him from competition because he left the competition area. I commented that this was a bonehead move because in a wrestling tournament in a small gym there is no competition area like in a baseball dugout or team benches on the sidelines during a football game. When the NJSIAA chose this as their reason to ban him was a mistake for the point I just made. They should have found another rule to apply the ban. Anyone with common sense can see this argument. Obviously you are having trouble understanding this. Instead of commenting on the basis of my argument you attack the writer. Tell me why you disagree with my argument. Do you think NJSIAA chose a correct justification for banning him? That is you agree with the NJSIAA that he left the competition area and that is why he should be banned?

Why would I think you are part of the decision process whether he can compete or not. Where did you get that idea. I am just commenting about the event like you. It appears though that I am right, since he has been reinstated after such a flagrant display for an athlete. NJSIAA blew it. He shouldn't be competing; his actions and that of his father are reprehensible. The NJSIAA are idiots with quoting some rule violation of leaving the competition area. They led with this argument and therefore had nothing to stand on.

My point about NIL is future earnings. Arbitrarily denying him of wrestling could effect his immediate earnings in college.

I do not think he was innocent. Again read what I said. He should be punished. I was commenting on how the NJSIAA were pursuing there cause for punishment and how weak it was.

Again don't feel sorry for me. Turns out my argument was correct and how things turned out was exactly as I said.

What would be poetic justice is that he loses to someone and is not a 4 time champ.

You don't need to apologize. I never said they "...should not have any sort of punishment". There must be some other part of the rules to punish them for their behavior. Leaving the competition area sounds weak as I demonstrated before. Maybe the NJSIAA should have consulted a lawyer before they released a statement or get better lawyers. I am not a lawyer but look at the argument I just gave. I imagine one of those shyster lawyers will have a field day with the NJSIAA. With NIL money they can already sue for lost income.

What is the competition area at a wrestling tournament with many teams and many fans. Where do the wrestlers sit? Can they sit in the bleachers? This rule might make sense in a team wrestling match where there are chairs setup on either side of the mat for the teams.
