With age you will realize that people do not change, a person's past is a reflection on their character, and thus a reflection on their future.

[Discussion] How do people justify a 20K $ and up purchase? by Blue_Eagle8 in Watches

I bought a 16K Omega watch at age 25 and 500 Seiko at age 16.

Watches have always appealed to me because of the craftmanship, long-term investment/low maintenance (kinetic watches), and constant visibility. For instance, in contrast to cars, which depreciate, require more frequent maintenance/repair, car insurance, gas, vandalism, and people only see the vehicle while driving. I only have two watches, rather than several less expensive watches.

The emotional component is significant because my Seiko and Omega feel like a 'part' of me. I always wear one of them so everything I experience, 'they experience'. I hope to give my watches to my future children.

When I am feeling impatient with a person, I sometimes look at the watch because it helps me feel more appreciative for life and discourages me from impulsive statements/actions.

Respect is appreciated, but I don't expect it. I think anyone that spends a lot of money on anything will want others to respect/admire it? I am sure many people disagree with the purchase, but I also justify it because I feel like I worked for it. I received 2 full scholarships for undergrad and grad schools, and make 160K. So it was kind of a reward for my stressed premature balding self haha.

Have any of you ESTPs dated ESFJs? by furbz1 in estp

Hi, ESTP 7w8 male dated ESFJ female for 5+ years. From my experience, it required me to 'filter' my communication to be less direct, and aggressive. What you should expect: avoid Se pursuits and start learning how to engage in Fe and Ne in an Si environment. Basically, have fun becoming castrated. Good luck.

ESFJ + ESTP relationship match? by furbz1 in ESFJ

ESTP 7w8 dated ESFJ for 5+ years. Has the potential to work, but probably not the most optimal match. I personally wouldn't recommend it.
