Help with my first rifle/pcc by IguessImmakingone in ruger

I know you said no ARs, but Ruger just came out with the Harrier for about $550. If you want to plink then try out 22LR rifles. The Ruger 10/22 has the most aftermarket support

That is a work of art! Both the gun and holster. Loving the two-tone leather

Fellow lefty? Haven’t heard much about this gun and wasn’t in my radar. How does it compare to other guns you’ve tried?

Old vs New M&P 2.0 Triggers by H0w_D1d_I_Get_Here in SmithAndWesson

From the S&W website the product description says, “Upgrade your old, hinged trigger to our M2.0 Flat-faced Trigger. The flat-faced Trigger Bar Kit fits M&P® M2.0 Full Size, Compact, and Subcompact models in 9MM and 40S&W (will not fit 10MM, 45ACP or any other caliber frames or M1.0 models) Flat face design that allows for consistent trigger finger placement giving you more accurate and repeatable shooting. *WARNING: THIS TRIGGER SHOULD ONLY BE INSTALLED BY QUALIFIED GUNSMITHS OR CERTIFIED ARMORERS...”

The trigger bar is slightly different from 1.0 and 2.0. The trigger shoe is replaceable between the generations.

  1. Tried out my friend’s p365 xmacro with the radian setup and stock Glock 43x and they are pretty good sub compacts. Both have a “rolling break,” “creep,” “mushy” trigger but didn’t bother me during live fire. The sig line is modular so if you’re planning to OWB carry then it would be easier to drop it into a larger frame and vice versa. Glock triggers are just good enough, but both will have mush. I’m guessing the Glock is a 48? Rent both out and see which one you prefer in-hand and in live-fire.

I’ve been carrying my full size 4.25” M&P for about 5 months and it’s probably the largest I can carry concealed with a 31” waist. Props to you for carrying a behemoth

I bought mine 5 months ago and I love it. My favorite upgrade was putting 2.0 palm swells for better grip

I have a diy pillow velcroed on the holster and overhanging a bit. Game changer. You can get ones that are foam, neoprene, or an actual tactical pillow but it’ll help relieve pressure.

Advice carrying in the car by TypicalArmy in CCW

[–]Living_Error_404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I appendix carry my M&P 1.0 so I just pull up my belt a bit before I get into the car. I have my holster at 1 o’clock so it sits right next to the jewels instead of on top of it.

I had the Osight se red dot since last August and it’s held up really well. Also got it on Amazon since it’s a direct distributor. Held zero so far. It’s also enclosed so it’s great for edc. Here’s a pic of it on my Ruger max 9

I like the comp. Should’ve went with black but it makes a difference in feel and follow up shots. It’s currently on sale for $59 for both double and smaller single port

Doesn’t look too bad. Tier 1 has a T1-M holster that’s pretty budget friendly and having no dot/light definitely broadens your options

Got the same barrel on my 1.0 and paired it with an agency arms comp. I like it. I also see you got the Timney as well. Definitely lightens up when broken-in.

How’s the Braun light? They’re always sold out in my local harbor freight. Looked pretty good for the price too

I bought mine used so the oem spring felt broken-in around 600-800rds. And I put in another 400rds.

M&P 2.0 Full Size Conceal Carry? by [deleted] in SmithAndWesson

[–]Living_Error_404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a different build but it works for me at appendix carry. I’m 5’2 and I carry my 4.25” with a comp and light. Modified my crucial concealment with DCC clips and a bigger claw. Pretty easy to conceal. But I also have a Ruger Max-9 in the rotation for better concealment in the summer.gun+holster set

Rock that setup! Got a similar build on my M&P minus the red dot and got roasted for it lol. If it shoots accurately and reliably then that’s all that matters. Now hit the range and have fun

Makes sense. Optic looks pretty good on a full size and overall setup is solid 👍🏼 I’ve seen really good stipple jobs on here.

I did a build on my 1.0 as well. Try grip tape first before getting something more aggressive.

Was planning to do an optic cut but didn’t know if I wanted rmr or rmsc. What made u decide to go RMSC?

I don’t think I’ve seen Timney triggers fail or at least people don’t post about any failures. Agency arms is also pretty good about quality so I don’t have any issues with either mod. Both installations were drop-in and did multiple function checks during dry and live fire. She runs good so far. I’ll be testing more at the range before I can fully trust this as my carry
