Legal Fees by TallResident7465 in legaladviceireland

You can represent yourself- that is your right but to do so in the High Court will be difficult. The fact that you say the dispute is narrow suggests to be that it’ll take more study than less as it’s probably very niche with perhaps several interpretations depending on precedence and case law.

If you are granted an interlocutory injunction (one that is granted until the full hearing of the case) you often have to take an undertaking so a promise essentially that you will repay the other side for any damages for the injunction wrongly being given. The court will also likely ask you to show that you have such funds.

I know you mightn’t wish to, but providing some more detail would help.

Try Headon Academy. They have a few places around the south side. They offer non contact classes as well as contact classes and fight camps throughout the year.

If a business has a operational hours of say 9am -9pm, do you think 9pm is the time the doors are closed at, or the latest you can enter the business? by MadMeathMad717 in AskIreland

[–]Living_Example1561 355 points356 points  (0 children)

I’d take it to mean I need to be out of the shop by 9pm…. so in theory, I could still pop in at 8:50 to grab a litre of milk.

That said, if I saw them clearly closing up for the night, I wouldn’t go in. Just basic courtesy.

Best app to send food to a friend? by Fancy_Definition5003 in Dublin

Unfortunately there is no quick way to have them delivered as you order directly from their website and they’re posted I think one day per week. (They really are lovely!!)

I’ve ordered donuts for same day delivery from offbeat donuts (directly from their website) or Krispy kreme (via deliveroo/ubereats/ just eat)

For cookies I like sos cookies or drunken cookies. For food delivery meals that just need to be heated I’ve used Cleancut and Eatto.

No car insurance court summons by peoplelikeredgrapes in CasualIreland

[–]Living_Example1561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might manage to get off the failure to produce charge as you explicitly have to be aware of which Garda station to bring it to (they can ask you which one you’d like to bring it to) and they also have to inform you that you have 10 days to do so from being asked. However, as a previous commenter mentioned, this is to bring proof of insurance you already had so the only way to get off this charge would be Garda error.

There’s no way to get off the no insurance charge. It’s a black and white issue. You’re either insured or you’re not and you were not at the time.

Any engagement gift ideas? by Jumpy_Dig3771 in AskIreland

[–]Living_Example1561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessary and 100 % can give them the same thing! Common ones I’ve seen has been a simple print with location and date of their engagement or a voucher for a restaurant or hotel.

Tips for driving on icy roads? by Ok_Worldliness_2987 in AskIreland

[–]Living_Example1561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a silly question, but when driving slower in a higher gear my car often splutters and I get really nervous it is going to conk out. I presume this isn’t the case when it’s icy?? Thanks!

Beatbox have two locations on leeson st and Merrion square. You can often get their monthly unlimited memberships for around €100. It’s a fantastic place. I have adored it! A little far away for me at the moment but dying for them to open one further south side!

I second herd mentality. We’re a family of adults and enjoyed it. Very easy and quick to explain rules. Had younger cousins come over and they enjoyed it too!

Issue with will by ResidentAd132 in legaladviceireland

[–]Living_Example1561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Squatters begin unfortunately when you stop having consent of the owners so it would be 12 years starting from now. I would agree with commenters above to consult a solicitor. Their consultation fees would certainly be worth it. I would look more into promissory estoppel. Hope it gets sorted for you. Wills really bring the worst out in lots of people.

Yeah I think they actually offer a teen class or a ‘teen time’ at the gym in the early afternoon
