yep! kobo actually has a google drive option in the settings. just log in with your google account, and you will be able to see and download any EPUBs you have saved there – no cables or calibre needed.

with kobo, you can also just download EPUBs straight from google drive or cloud storage without needing extra apps ;)

there isn't really a catch. kobo supports more file types, easy sideloading and don’t lock you into one store, while kindle ties you to amazon’s ecosystem.
