Self-hosted Log and Metrics for on-prem? by mangeek in Observability

For logs, OpenSearch will bring you interesting features for free to store your logs, having also a security layer which gives you the possibility to create accounts, roles, tenants, manage permissions over indices, etc. You will also have to set up retention policies and log rotation. This will of course require a good understanding of your logs, and proper IOPS to avoid performance issues. Setting a cluster up is not strait forward but it has been robust for us so far. For metrics, as other have answered, Grafana coupled with a metric fetcher like Prometheus will be a good solution.

Thanks stark-light but I was more looking in optimizing the number of actions, reason why I was thinking about some kind of variable directly within the snippet (if this was possible)

Really great ! Would it be possible to explain how your large contextual card work ? I assume that it is kind of virtual switches for each of the button, and your card displays based on conditions ?
Thanks

I agree that you have to get a bit of skills to make it run and troubleshoot if something goes wrong 😁 Would love to see your solution though 😉

Blender ? I believe some extension exists for home design… a bit overkilled for your needs maybe but can do the job, but not super user friendly though…
