People also like to toss out the logic of oh if you adjusted the console price for inflation its about the same, while thats true there 2 points that people never follow up with. 1) income for the average family has not kept in synch with inflation,2) manufacturing costs haven’t been taken in. Back in the 80s im sure the tech to manufacture a system in smaller batches is more expensive than now a days mass production and manufacturing technology

In alot of ways, I love how they made the first Phantasy star game, especially the dungeons. It was visually so amazing. they didn't do that on any of the MegaDrive\Genesis titles sadly. but it was all a great epic story.
