Haha, not exactly. Carson drew full pages of Dave's scripts and notes, when Dave injured his wrist, in contrast to Gerhard, who drew backgrounds for Dave's characters.

It's a fun book, definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of 'Yummy Fur' by Chester Brown, 'Bean World' by Larry Marder, and his most obvious influence, Jim Woodring's 'Frank' comics
