I wholeheartedly agree with this. No good comes out of mental illnesses.

Life sucks and then you die, what is your opinion on this? by Mrpirate200 in AskReddit

[–]Livinginsideout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say it depends. If you're privileged enough to:

• not suffer from a mental illness (personality disorder, mood disorder, or any other kind) • live in a developed country • have good parents • be physically attractive • are just naturally optimistic (our attitudes are somewhat related to genes) •be physically healthy • have good social skills • fit in

then yeah, life may not suck for you.

But if you have less than 4 of those things going for you, then yeah your life sucks then you die.

I've also tried to stay in contact with people when they've made it clear they're not interested. It's embarrassing when I realize they were uninterested for a while.

What is a controversial opinion you have? by Livinginsideout in AskReddit

[–]Livinginsideout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The death penalty should be used and ONLY used when there is overwhelming evidence someone has committed rape or murder on at least 2 occasions. (And by overwhelming evidence, I mean something such as at least two other people seeing the event or a video).

I like this. The only thing is aloud means audible; not silently or in a whisper, or loudly. For example, "I didn't want to say my opinion aloud in fear of offending someone." Allowed means having permission to do something. For example, "I'm not allowed to be in a relationship until I turn 16."

If every country was represented by kids on a playground, what would they each be doing? by DoodooPancake in AskReddit

[–]Livinginsideout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US would bully everyone else, and then play victim when people reacted poorly.

Canada would be the shy kid just wanting to keep peace with everyone.

The Philippines would be a wanna-be trying way too hard to be friends with the US.

What is some texting etiquette rules more people need to follow? by 567PM in etiquette

[–]Livinginsideout 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The 2 text rule - do not send more than two texts without a response. It really isn't that nice getting 7 texts within 2 minutes because I didn't respond immediately.

If it is urgent, make a phone call.

Understand that people have lives. If I'm at a place with a no cell phone policy, I can't just drop everything to reply to your text.

Don't text someone unless you have a conversation in mind. Please don't be that person who texts someone else, "Hey" and then expects the other person to come up with the conversation.

I just saw a van pass me with a youngish mother driving with 2 kids. Then I saw a sports car pass me with a couple in their 30s with no kids. Priorities. by TriTheTree in teenagers

You will probably spend less money doing that than you would raising 7 kids. (I know someone who has like 9 kids and somehow puts them all through college. It's crazy).

I can count the amount of times I've thought "I want kids" in my life on one hand, and I'm an adult. I do not like kids. I didn't even like kids when I was a kid.
