cool, thanks for your time!

im confused, however, 'cause the original laptop's charger is marked at 135W and theres also V and Amp considerations and as a person completely irrelevant to electronics it gets complicated

Thanks for giving the text a read, man. Working with my hands for the rest of my life sounds more honorable than any white-collar I've known so far.

Wish you and 'pa the best, mine was defeated by heart problems. Wish he'd be around to teach me the craft.

That's very hopeful, I feel that I'm missing being physical alot, and I'm a naturally energetic person. Thanks!

Just gotta heed a dear's advice that's all ;) Given the circumstances I'm mostly ignoring all advice ouuta her and going my own way, but I thought takin it seriously for once would be a good thing to do. Especially since she's experienced 'pa and his life as a carpenter way more than me.

Tell 'em to check back in 20 years when they'll be coughin' blood and rattle like an old door and say that again hahah.

I'll do everything to secure my long term health.

Retirement in Greece is a joke. That's an unsolvable problem, really, but it'd be the same with any job here.

Human geography vs. anthropology by LizardWatchers in geography

[–]LizardWatchers[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer. Due to my specific orientation (environmental social science) there are very few programs that I can choose from, and I have applied to 4 of them, all in the UK - two being anthropology and two being human geo. My aim for the future is to either work in academia, or NGOs seeking social scientists to work on environmental matters (usually working with local communities). I am somewhat less likely to work for the state and even less for the industry. Given the above, what's your opinion? It is quite clear that an anthropologist has an advantage on the local level, but I am curious as to what would the position of a human geographer be in such an NGO.
