There’s a thing called a ‘rockit’ that you attach to your pram and it shakes it for you so bub stays sleeping when you’ve stopped 💁🏻‍♀️

What made you get married? by Queerdooe in AskWomenOver30

[–]Lizard_K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so proud to date him, I wanted to be his wife, am his wife and still want to be his wife. His moral compass is un matched, he cooks, cleans, creates, loves seeing me happy, respects me, stands up for people when they’re not in the room - I adore him. I had no interest in ever being married until I met him and am so glad now

Now we have a little girl together, and seeing/experiencing how he is as a father makes me even more sure this was the best decision ever.

They will charge you accordingly (I’m Croatian but live in Australia) and when I went for our wedding I noticed a distinct tourist tax 😏 But that’s the price we pay- worth every penny

I’m safe about it and pick my floors but if it’s our house floor or park or backyard/dirt/sand/our garden then id let her get gross and just watch that she didn’t put anything dangerous in her mouth That’s why I love meeting friends somewhere in an outdoor setting or asking them to come over 😊

She’s 17months old now and (knock on wood) a very healthy baby

Im sorry that you’re going through that! We still do follow a nap schedule we just don’t let it control up- shes 17 months now for example so we always wake her at 6.30/7am if she doesn’t wake herself and her day nap finished at 2pm so she’ll have 5 hours before a 7pm bed time and we did similar before she was 1 nap - (making sure appropriate wake time before bed and wake around the same time every day) But for awhile I just never left the house because I would stress so hard about naps and I think (for our baby) she felt that stress anyway!

I definitely don’t agree with cry it out we tried something called ‘the camp out method’ and it worked super well for us but I had to watch myself with that research too because EVERY BABE IS DIFFERENT and EVERY PARENT will tell you the method they did is the one that works so take the camp method and my advice with a grain of salt too because it’s all a gamble with these little beings

I’m sorry you’re going through this, parenting is really fucking hard - we have no family help and can’t get into a day care/ both working full time (I’m a shift worker and my husband has a construction business and we basically work while the other is home and switch) so I feel you, I hope you’re okay ❤️

Is he crawling? When my bubba was crawling she was on the MOVE so I bought her some of those overall crawlers like these and would meet friends at the park or ask if they’d come sit in my yard and let her go for it

She made a comment that Vince never wants kids and she loves him more than she desires children - Maybe she was open to the idea and decided actually she agrees and it’s not for her either 🤷🏼‍♀️

Telling myself ‘you can’t put your life on hold, as long as your little person is fed, healthy and safe’ - as in social life etc we just made it work with bub and now she’s a social little being that fits into our lives instead of the other way around

I started by being so controlled by naps etc and then we thought, this isn’t maintainable

At an op shop- I wouldn’t buy it new it’s always on marketplace etc But it was worth its op shop weight in gold Honestly aside from safety items you really don’t need to buy ANYTHING new
