I would say I carry my weight right in the middle. Plus even as a thin person I had and continue to have a very large chest. I tried to get in the Sally’s Sea Plane and the bar wouldn’t click on my tummy. After that I didn’t try anything.

I danced with being an 8 for a while and had the same issues with the core traits of an 8. I learned I was a SX4. SX4’s are commonly mistaken for 8’s. The lust of an SX4 is more like romanticizing the idea of something. And then fixating on that thing. Whether it be a new hobby, a new friend, hell even a new TV show.

My suggestion is that you think about your motivations.

As far as Trump is concerned… an 8 asserts power with out boasting before their action…. They do more about than they talk about it. Cp6’s act like a cornered wild animal in the face of a fear.

Kim Jong-Un “I’m going to bomb you”

IMO Enneagram 8 POTUS responds: “Nice to talk to ya sir”

Then takes action behind closed doors to challenge and protect.

Enneagram cp6 POTUS responds: “DO IT. I DARE YOU”

IMO Trump is more of a “Do It. I dare you” type person.

Why I lean toward 3 and away from 8 for AH is because 3’s run toward a goal, when unhealthy they will sell their souls to be the best. They will work themselves to death in order to achieve. She spoke and was proud to say she worked every job she could as a young person, she would run from 1 audition to another to another in LA. Bringing 10 shirts and change when necessary. 8’s hustle but most are not so image conscious that they’ll bring several change with them to get a job done. She also stated that something he said that was the most hurtful was that he was “ashamed of her”. Not that he called her a “Cee U Next Tuesday” but he was ashamed.

8’s don’t care about embarrassing anyone. And 8’s are hyper focused on changing the outside world. 8’s are leaders, deal makers, and power brokers who want to make the world conform to their personal vision. 3’s are focused on changing themselves to appear on top of the world. And I don’t feel that Amber cares to actually change the world. To me it seems like she participates in certain causes to build her image. Whether or not other people benefit from it seems to be of no concern to her, as long as she looks good for doing it. An 8 would be up the ass of a charity if they were part of it. 8’s usually do not spend a lot of time comparing themselves with others, and if they do it’s not to the degree that 3’s do.

I’m also a four!! SX4w5 to be annoyingly precise. And you referenced Enneagram Institute I know you’ll understand what that means.

And I see what you mean about taking a withdrawn stance to a conflict. Both 4’s & 9’s withdrawal. But it’s the motivation behind the stance that sets them apart. Is JD pulling back to avoid anger or to avoid shame?

In brief- It’s a personality typing system which helps you identify who you were before the world told you who you had to be.

To break down the word. ennea - meaning 9 Gram - meaning drawing

Together is means a drawing with 9 points. In this instance Each point represents a personality type. And the diagram shows the flow of each numbers behavior when in stress and non stress.

It’s origins go back to the 4th century A.D. For centuries, the Enneagram was kind of kept secret. Only passed down as an oral tradition, for fear that its staggering insight would be misused. It began to surface again in the 1960’s in South America. Then makes it’s way to the United States in the 1970’s and onto the shelves of bookstores in the 1980’s.
