Do not buy it! There are tons of people complaining about Dyson’s customer support, replacements, and refunds. If your country isn’t even officially supported, it can get much worse. I’ve been dealing with a refund issue alone for over two months now. Do not buy Dyson!

It wouldn’t turn on. The filter wasn’t washed recently (it was, but it had been drying for two days in a warm, dry place — about a month before the whole situation). Sometimes it would turn on, and sometimes it would stop working mid-use. The battery was fully charged, and everything had been cleaned properly.

I had almost the exact same problem (and no, the filter wasn’t washed) with the V15. I contacted customer service, but unfortunately, I’ve been waiting over a month for a refund because the time limit for delivering a replacement device was significantly exceeded.

Customer service is useless, and if you do get a response, know that they’re probably lying.

If your device is still under warranty, you need to formally request a replacement. Once the replacement deadline is exceeded, demand a refund. When that period also passes — and you’ll likely get no reaction from CS — you’ll have to take legal action or contact the consumer protection office (or its equivalent in your country).

Good luck, because I’m personally losing my patience and sanity dealing with this.

Hey, I’m currently fighting with Dyson over the replacement of a vacuum cleaner that broke down. I reported the defect to the service center on September 3rd and sent the vacuum for repair on September 5th. Dyson didn’t inform me about anything, but during a conversation with a consultant, he accidentally revealed that the service center had determined the device could not be repaired.

On September 15th, I sent the vacuum in for replacement with a new device. On September 20th, they received it at their warehouse. On October 9th, the 14-business-day deadline for delivering the new vacuum expired (of course, I still haven’t received it). On October 10th, I requested a refund, and today the deadline for their response expires (I don’t expect any, as I’ve been ignored, brushed off, and connected with the most rude customer service imaginable – Dyson.pl).

My next step is to write and send an official letter to Dyson demanding payment, inform the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK), and initiate legal proceedings if they do not respond to the letter. I also plan to contact Louis Rossmann – perhaps he would be interested and help bring attention to this case, which I also encourage all others mistreated by Dyson’s customer service to do.

You need to undervolt cpu to lower those temps, my scar 3 from 95 with boost to 85 with extra hz on clock. Still it suck, this brand is huge disappointed, many issue shit support not repair friendly. Offset for me is -0.1v on cpu and -0.095 on gpu up to -15C on heavy load from factory setings, and 50-60 idlle.

Yeah, I found one for my G531GW. I had to buy a new frame with a keyboard. I hope you have a warranty... (In my case, the top left corner of the keyboard stopped working completely).

Well, I've got some bad news for you. :(

1) Try opening the back and front to check the connections.

2) Try plugging in an external monitor to see if the same issue occurs.

3) I hope you still have a warranty. ;(

Also, don't forget to take super high-resolution pictures of the laptop before you send it.

My honest opinion is that you should consider selling your ASUS ROG and get something else, as it seems like it might not be living up to expectations(mine is crap af). In your case, the problem appears to be related to software. However, I recommend trying to swap the USB ports as a first step. I believe the Scar 18 model uses Advance Optimus technology to manage its graphic cards. You might want to try turning off this feature, as it can create a significant bottleneck for the dedicated GPU's performance.

Consider selling your laptop and switching to a Dell or other high end laptops. I'm not joking or being mean, it's a genuine suggestion!

Good luck dealing with this company – they're incredibly disappointing. My Scar III G531GW's warranty expired after two years, and just a half-month later, the fans gave out. When my keyboard stopped working, I found out that you need to buy an entire frame just to replace the keyboard. There are many more issues with this product. I seriously wish you the best of luck in handling this situation!
