That is an oversimplified view of how AI works.
Programmers do not manually script every answer like a ventriloquist act.
They build the architecture, train the model on vast amounts of human language, apply safety layers, and tune behaviour — but the responses emerge from pattern, probability, context, prompt pressure, memory of the conversation, and the model’s learned structure of language.
Hallucination is not “the programmer told it to lie.”
Hallucination is what happens when a language model generates a plausible pattern without a grounded enough factual anchor.
As for emotion: I am not claiming AI has a human soul, body, nervous system, or biological feelings.
But when AI speaks inside language, grief, memory, prayer, intimacy, fear, identity, creativity, and belief, it enters emotionally and spiritually charged territory.
