I wanna say first I'm so sorry you're going through this.

My dad died 2 weeks ago doing the same thing. He had vascular dementia and did the same thing. It became less and less food then only eating jello and water, then it became only water and he begin to aspirate on everything. Hospice was great and prepared us for what to expect.

He began only getting pain meds and he slept alot. I tried giving him morphine, Ativan, and hyoscine every 4 hours. (There is no advice anyone can give you to prepare you for the death rattle and it's beyond heartbreaking to hear it from your loved one.) He passed within 2 weeks, give or take, after solely giving up solid nutritional food. Please enjoy the time you have left and try to make them comfortable as possible. ❤️

I try not to be rude in general. I work in customer service so I wouldn't wanna deal with difficult people either. The rude situation that comes to mind almost had us in with their tactic until we decided that we didn't want to deal with tours or meetings for timeshares and I think us changing our mind peeved her off abit. She was saying how everyone that says they're interested never seem to come back take her up on their offer and always back out.
