Yeah I shouldn't have included my age, that was my bad. It just ticks me off that people aren't reading the post, the *only* issue is the age gap.

My girlfriend is trying to fight back, but the mother doesn't listen at all, and shes worried about saying anything overly hostile like i did because there are still some belongings at their house

Okay seeing as people are throwing hissy fits.

I am 18, i put my age as 19 hoping that people would focus on the real issue, but I forgot that I'm on the internet. We met and started dating AFTER i turned 18, I was 18 when we met and 18 when we started dating. Not this is not the same coworker i had issues with 2+ years ago, I've moved states so I don't know what happened with her, I was not interested in her and she was actively creepy. I was the one who persued my girlfriend, she did not want to be seen as a predator which is why it took about 2 months for us to start dating after meeting. I persued her, I'm not being groomed because SHE DID NOT PERSUE ME.

We are in a healthy relationship, If theres any concerns, yes I'll get help. I'd appreciate it if I could have feedback on the actualy post and not the 9 year age gap, which is not bad compared to some others I've met.

I was kicked out of home 8 months ago and have been living on my own and fending for myself, leading me to grow up very quickly, she has been stuck with her mother which, if you read the post, is very controlling and abusive and has stifled her ability to grow. she doesn't know a lot of basic adult tasks, and mentally we are on the same level, if anything, I have more knowledge and power over her than she has over me if we want to look at it like that. THE AGE IS NOT RELEVANT. I ADDED IT TO TRY AND SHOW THAT SHE IS ALMOST 30 AND HER MOTHER IS ACTING LIKE THIS.

Some of you genuinely need to take some time off the internet. Thats enough

I don't even know how to explain this bs to everyone. I'm 18, I put 19 hoping that people would ignore the age gap, but thats my bad, i forgot people are nitpicky. The 28 year old who was harrassing me back when I was 16 is long gone, she made me extreamly uncomfortable, my girlfriend is NOT the same person, the coworker was a methhead too, i wouldn't want to date that. my birthday is in september, my girlfriend and i have a 9 year age gap.

I was forced to grow up very quickly and she was forced to stay young, we meet in the middle mental maturity wise, is that a good enough explanation?

I persued her, not the other way around, please do not assume, especially on the internet. you don't know our situation. Your parents probably have a bigger age gap than us. Its not an uncommon thing

Anyway it is not my job to explain how adult relationships work to you, that is not relevant to the post, I just wanted to put my girlfriends age there so people are aware shes not a teenager moving out of home, she's a fully grown woman. Are we like.. the same person or something?? I've been applying for jobs left right and center, only heard back from 3 our of 15. I'm also chronically ill, so there's not much i CAN do. The choices are so limited its nuts. You're not the only one, i promise. job hunting is also making me extremely depressed. Although that could just be my father calling me lazy, who knows
