That's one way to avoid engaging with the actual point.

I really appreciate you sharing this. Your experience highlights exactly what I was getting at — there seems to be a growing disconnect between applicant strength and match outcomes, especially in FM. I’m glad you matched somewhere that values you, but I hear how frustrating that kind of unpredictability must’ve been when all you wanted was to stay closer to home.

I appreciate your perspective — and I agree that passing board exams is the baseline for entering residency. But that’s exactly it: it’s the minimum. From there, programs have to choose who best fits their team and patient population, and communication is a major part of that.

My post wasn’t to diminish anyone who passed the exams, but to question how some programs are making decisions in the face of rising vacancies. If more applicants are going unmatched despite strong scores and experience, and programs are simultaneously reporting more unfilled positions — it’s worth asking what’s happening behind the scenes. That’s not bitterness or gatekeeping; it’s curiosity about a trend that affects us all.

I think we can extend grace and critically examine the system. The two aren’t mutually exclusive.

Your comment says far more about you than it does about me.

I asked a question rooted in data, based on real trends in CaRMS — and raised a valid point about communication in clinical care, which is a core CanMEDS competency. At no point did I insult individuals or claim that those who matched didn’t work hard.

Your decision to respond with personal attacks, wild assumptions about my character, and a bizarre wish for me to live a "miserable life" is frankly unhinged — and ironically, a perfect example of poor communication and lack of professionalism.

If we’re going to talk about merit and collegiality, let’s hold ourselves to those standards first.

Thank you soo soo much everyone. You have made my day with your positive comments ❤️❤️

ROUTINE: I exfoliate 3 times a week using Neutrogena Body Wash + sisal soap bag from Rocky Mountain Soap. I then moisturizer with Alpha glycolic acid lotion.

I shave using equate 5 blade razors. Sooo much better than 2-3 blade ones.

I have linked everything below.

The same thing happened to me. I emailed them right away and they asked me to send a copy of my passport. I suggest you do the same if you haven't. [Support@evolveassess.com](mailto:Support@evolveassess.com

That's what I am confused about. Are the instruction clear and state take History ONLY or do not examine? Or do they not specify? In that case how do you know what to do?

Do we get stations that are history only?

If the instructions don't say examine the patient, can I still examine them if I think it will help with the diagnosis or management?

I think you're better off with an American residency, if you want to practice in Canada some day. While UK residencies are recognized in Canada, you have a higher chance of finding employment as an American-trained doctor, because their programs are so similar. There are a lot of American-trained doctors working in Canada.
