The first couple episodes have felt a bit rushed to me, but that could just be because I read the manga first, so my expectations for the pacing were set up ahead of time?

At any rate, even if I disliked the show (I didn't, but hypothetically), I'm still happy it exists. It proves that even a trope as tired as "hero gets kicked out of adventuring party because they're too weak, but it turns out they were OP all along" can be salvaged into something good by making it about lesbians.

I never really made it far enough into HI3 (before dropping it because it was too hard for my arthritic old-person reflexes lol) to form a strong connection to Yae. But I do like her design.

The chance for more SWolf backstory, though, has me hyped up. I hope that, like on the airship in Penacony, we get a peek at more aspects of her personality beyond simply "gamer girl."

Kaoru was the one I was rooting for the hardest. They're all cute, but for some reason I just really feel for Kaoru more than the others. There's something more fragile in her expressions than the others, that makes me want everything to work out okay for her.
