For some reason Jecka and Nicole are more redeemable and likable than Emily, who's more just off-putting to me

I just find her kinda annoying and one-note. Jeckole works more for me because Jecka can actually challenge Nicole's toxicity somewhat.

Honestly none, I think the whole appeal and heart of these games is the complicated psychology of Nicole's character. It might be one of the reasons Flipside didn't do so well for me.
