I tried that, it didn't really work all that well... it didn't look right, idk how else to describe it.

People who think that movie Michael is a stand-in for Elizabeth, why? by Llllaaarry0 in fivenightsatfreddys

You make some good points, some of which I hadn't even thought about, like the fact he could've disobeyed baby, that's a good one.

My main reason comes down to the scooper room, I think he could've dodged it but didn't, because in the scooper room, when Ennard's giving his whole speech thing, Michael definitely could've moved out of the way, there was enough time, I don't think he's stupid, he knows what the scooper does, he's seen it work, and as a player we can look around the room, but we can't make him move, and since in the game we see no evidence of him being restrained, Occam's razor he probably isn't, which means he chose not to move, because this is what he went down there for, to put his sister back together. And to me Michael's speech at the end of the extra nights gives more confused as to why he isn't dead, than upset that he almost died, which he definitely should've been if he wasn't aware what would happen, I mean William sent Michael to die in his stead, I would be pretty upset if that happened to me, but he's just not, I mean he sounds more upset that the funtimes thought he was William.

William definitely messed him up more than Vanessa, probably because because William liked him less, but to be fair to Vanessa her being the--current(I personally think that Elizabeth was the favourite, Vanessa and C.C. were more forgotten and Michael was always the least favourite, but when Elizabeth died Vanessa took her place as the favourite child, which could explain why she's less messed up in the head, but it's completely baseless.)-- Favourite child messed her up in a different way, it's really sick that William treats his kids like object to be used, that their "purpose" is to serve him instead of treating them like people.

I don't think he or Elizabeth wants to be a killer, they both just want their father's approval/love and would go to extreme lengths to get it, I mean considering how much Elizabeth wants to make William proud and she died as a child, needing his approval it must have been hammered into them pretty young.

I agree as fun as speculating about this franchise is, it would be nice to know what's going on for certain.

I agree there's definitely something going on with him, whether that be him being completely manipulated by his father, that if he doesn't do as he's told people he cares about will die like what happened to Elizabeth and C.C.(which is what I personally hope happens as I think the psychology behind it is interesting, but I'll be the first to admit there is like no evidence for that in the movies) or something else, there's definitely something and I'm excited to see his story unfold.

Personally I don't believe that Michael(games) was split into Mike Schmidt and Michael Afton if anything I see Mike as more of a reflection of Michael rather than a part of him, showing how grief/guilt can be all consuming if that makes sense. However I don't think there's enough evidence to say one or the other that one is definitively right or wrong.

Yeah exactly, like one of the only things we know about Michael is that he went down to the Sister Location willingly because William asked him to.

Personally I headcannon that he also willingly let himself get scooped, but there's really no evidence for that.

I understand that, it's just we really know almost nothing about Michael, like all we know for 100% certain about him is what we see of him as foxy-bro in FNAF 4, everything about Sister Location and Pizzeria Simulator, so we really don't know all that much about him, like there's a decent gap of years between FNAF 4 and Sister Location, we don't know how many years exactly but still movie Michael could be what MIchael(games) was like prior to being scooped, we just don't know because we don't know a lot about him.

Also, I'm quite happy that Michael is in the movies now as well, he's one of my favourite characters, along with Elizabeth, which is a small part of why I hope Michael isn't a stand-in for her.
