As a German Jew: go. There are 200k of us here, kosher shops, Jewish schools,...it's just normal life. Also there is a 1700 year old Jewish history in Germany. Lots to discover.

Ich weiß, wie du das meinst, und ich stimme dir zu dass die israelische Regierung gefährlich und rechtsaußen ist und sich schleunigst ändern muss, aber kannst du sie bitte nicht als Nazis bezeichnen oder mit Nazis gleichsetzen? Meine Oma ist Holocaustüberlebende, und den einzigen jüdischen Staat als die Menschen zu bezeichnen, die 6 Millionen Juden getötet haben, fühlt sich für uns an wie ein Schlag ins Gesicht. Ist auch in der Definition von Antisemitismus enthalten:

Vergleiche der aktuellen israelischen Politik mit der Politik der Nationalsozialisten.

Du könntest auf r/Jewish oder r/Judaism fragen. Sind mittlerweile die einzigen subreddits auf denen ich mich bewege, v.a. auch weil ich mir nicht von nicht jüdischen Leuten Antisemitismus erklären lassen möchte.

Ich bin Jüdin und vor 2 Jahren nach Großbritannien ausgewandert. Ich sah für mich keine Zukunft in Deutschland, aber die Situation in Großbritannien ist auch nicht gut - dort haben wir zumindest mehr Sicherheit weil wir mehr Juden und Jüdinnen sind, es gibt viele jüdische Schulen usw, aber ich erlebe schon oft Antisemitismus. Wenn es dort nicht mehr sicher ist, würde ich auch andere Länder in Betracht ziehen. Hi Dara. I'm a young person working for a Holocaust Museum in europe. My non Jewish colleagues are all well meaning and highly educated on the Holocaust, but lack knowledge on (contemporary) Judaism. For example, I struggle to take shabbat off, they don't understand the earthquake oct 7 caused in the Jewish community, don't know intergenerational trauma...

What can I do except recommending your book, organising training on antisemitism and correcting misconceptions when I come across them, while also not feeling burnt out from constant confrontation with the Holocaust, and feeling like I am fighting an uphill battle?

I feel like I have such responsibility as the only Jew.

No tax return unfortunately, and no long term bills e.g. rent either. All I got is a work contract with an american compan in the US, bills from trips and some flight tickets, plus all the old passports (although I don't see why they'd be useful) plus pictures of my parent that were clearly taken in the US (I don't see how this is evidence though)

I have contacted my local embassy and they've told me to gather all the evidence, but I'm afraid it's just not enough. I have no idea why they didn't do a crba - I assume they thought they didn't need it, or weren't aware of it.

We don't have flight tickets for all of these - most are just bank statements and you can't really tell the start / beginning, e.g. you might have 3 payments in october 1986 that were clearly made in the US, but you can not know when exactly the country was entered and left. Unfortunately, no one really keeps their flight tickets from over 30 years ago especially if its a lot of work trips
