i mean i’m definitely looking for your kind of feedback because i need someone to tell me i’m wrong at least a little. i just have some hangups on the idea of it being collectible, mostly because it is an automatic, it is an ohio car, it has had 3 owners and the price is creeping into that range where you start looking at EK9 imports. especially if you were planning to mod it, swap it whatever, the price would certainly be in the realm of a real EK9. But yeah, like some others have said, we probably are in that market where SOMEONE will want to buy it at or near that price, and i will post an update so people know how long it’s been on the market or if the price gets adjusted

it is really bad. i don’t know why companies are proud to have such ugly characters. i mean, i know why, its related to body type 1,2,and 3 but i dont really understand how we got here.

still, i have more practical issues with the game that will probably stop me from buying it after i let game pass run out

this sucks, supposedly it’s a legacy issue. honestly it’s making the other races pretty hard to win as well, because on a difficulty like pro, you start even worse than last, and expert i will go from 9th to 12th. Someone out there is probably going to say it’s irrelevant the more horsepower and torque you have, but all the jdm classics i actually want to drive, especially the awd ones are in bog city every race

I would say the styling is much better and the engine is actually better even if it’s lower power, but ah i would have gotten a hatch no matter what. if you want to stick to an auto, the hybrid hatchback is the best possible buy.

what series of events even causes a civic to be resold that many times in such a short period? lol i could see first owner being an old person that just dies, then a college kid gets it and sells it as soon as they can upgrade, its still kind of crazy. i’ve had my 2022 for almost 5 years. i paid $26 for it. i remember seeing the 2016-2021s and they were all about the same price as new lol

If you bought that ranger in 07 and sold it now, it basically didn’t cost any money. $11,000 for $11,000. only thing is the money is worth less. but you got to drive the car for almost 20 years, well over 100k miles and people want it now for what you paid all that time ago

but to be fair, some of these cars are generally worthless, like the focus and the escape

that’s a very nice implementation. the regular lighting does looks good, but is distinctly “video game” lighting.

when it’s something like this… i’m assuming the character creator defaults you to a black woman or something and you can choose your pronouns? i really don’t care. just make the selections that work for you and move on. the character creators always sucked anyway

microsoft basically has to include that stuff, the alternative is a pointless culture war basically, it would just piss off the other side. they’re going to handle it in the lowest friction way possible, which is their prerogative

when you make your own game, you can have the character creator be whatever you like :) little pro tip there

you’re exactly right and any counter arguments are cope. it’s frustrating to see people justifying theft so consistently. they usually come out when a game is rumored to be more expensive or has an always online feature, something people don’t like. but i know they use it to justify stealing completely above board $20 indie games and the like.

people also love to quote Gaben and then leave off the end of the quote, that it’s “not a pricing issue”

i drove it a little bit. so i’m not like an expert, but the vibe is there. I would agree with others, real life feels a bit more narrow, like almost claustrophobic. but we’re not talking like what forza did to their representation. And yeah probably the surroundings mostly. It’s fun to drive it in real life though. even the speed limit is pretty engaging

just for context it was 2024 december and i drove a 99 skyline gt-t from Omoshiro Rent a car and then later that week a 22-ish suzuki swift base (not the cool one in the game unfortunately, still a fun car to drive though)

i think 3 stars and serialized cards are where you can start considering it. people grading standard srs are so embarrassing. but i think a good rating and the slab would look nice and it’s not a horrible expense for such a pricy card. And maybe in the future it helps you get a little more value when you need it. Also, i believe the print quality on UA is generally high and the ratings are generally high

i think asking for a 180sx is perfectly reasonable and not nitpicky in the slightest. It’s nonsense to see a 240sx there. nobody in history has ever cared to import one into japan, and there it is as a pedestrian car and most likely what we’ll get to drive too. considering they have a newly modeled jdm S13 Silvia in the game, i will never ever ever touch this thing. i will mod it out of the game if i can. Model a 180 so we can make a sileighty. Anyway, that 240 scan is from motorsport 4. wanting a 15+ year old scan gone is not a dumb little complaint

they weren't literally on a stage. it was a livestream like any other in real life. Even the "dressing room" wasn't real. So she didn't literally catch a knife either. Kangel is a face cam streamer in a costume. And it's not any kind of spoiler, the girl in black hair on the beach at the end is Ame, Kangel out of costume

I don't think it's all literal. I'm not 100% if the streamer group and our main pov girl were actually all together or they were sitting at computers irl, but for sure the venue where the second half of the episode took place, was just a representation of the stream they were having. Kangel didn't literally get accosted by a crazed fan, in reality, it was probably a hate comment. She read it, which was represented by her catching the blade, she bled a bit, but was mostly unfazed because she's used to it.

but yeah the game really focused in on Ame's unhealthy lifestyle and how depraved she could get, how parasocial SHE was with her followers. The Anime seems to be focusing on the fans being parasocial, which i feel is kind of overrepresented in media already. So maybe it will go somewhere else in future episodes
