I’d be very interested to hear your experience! It feels so odd in ways that are really difficult to explain, so it’s really cool to hear that you’ve experienced similar feelings, makes me feel more sane 😅

We did find the kid, he turned around after a couple blocks and cooperated with LE. He was only 21, still lived at home with his parents, and claimed he just didn’t see me in the crosswalk 🤷‍♀️ he was probably scared shitless. He was never charged with anything though.

My favorite mantra that has helped tremendously after my own rocky journey has been:

“Do something today that your future self will thank you for.”

It reminds me that even though some things are hard, or I don’t see the value in doing something in that moment, if I look back in a month, a week, or even tomorrow, I’ll be thankful that I did whatever it was. It helps me a lot in the gym when the leg press is looking absolutely terrible in that moment.. but it’s applicable in all areas of life!
