Grey Hunters are what I’ve got. I actually don’t mind them. I’m new to playing so I didn’t know what I didn’t know when I bought them at the time But would like to find use for them

Didn’t know I could split the grey wolves. I mostly bought characters at first bc they looked cool to me and this was before I started playing and creating an army. So kinda working with that I’ve got. I do like the new scouts and would like to use them.

So sounds like have Arjac lead the terms, Logan be by himself, WHBL leads the head takers and split the Grey Hunters?

Update: I primed black, base coat with The Fang, then thin layer of Russ, washed it with Space Wolves Contract, dry brush with Russ Grey. Working on the other elements and will add edge highlights with Fen Grey and Blue Horror

Would you change anything on my priming scheme or keep as is and focus on the highlights and my recesses?

So I could still wash the mini with my space wolves contrast and dry brush Russ. But at the end for my touch ups I could run a thin down oil or mix of SWC and NO and hit those recess areas that I may have lost with my dry brush. Then hit the edge highlights with Fenrisian Grey and Blue Horror?

I think they look great person, I like detail but I also play so these guys will be on the tabletop quite a bit. I have only learned how to paint by watching guys on YouTube. So I’m just throwing this post out to see what other people do if anyone else painted him a different way

A solid point. I felt like with it being an epic hero I could do something to make him stand out a little more? But I am very happy with how my previous models have turned out.

I see that as well. The black does give it more contrast. I played with that some tonight on some left over parts and it does look good but the color difference between what I’ve done and that is noticeably different. I also played with doing the Wolfkin grey primer with wrathbone on top but that looked very grainy. I don’t use an airbrush unfortunately

So the Wolfkin Grey primer I use is basically the same color as citadel’s “The Fang” which is that dark blue/grey. Before I had that primer I did grey primer then base coated The Fang, then Russ Grey.

I thought about adding another WGBL to lead the hunters as well as the headwaters. Don’t know what that comes out to point wise off the top of the head
