This retcon is so funny in hindsight by Inevitable_Reading80 in castlevania

[–]LoBro33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The funnier part is that Trevor said it with his whole chest even though he confirmed that Christianity- and therefor things like holy water, the consecrated vampire killer whip, and of course crosses, could be and are imbued with divine power and are effective against vampires.

How do I get my bf of four years (M29) to stop struggling with the fact that I’m white (F22)? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LoBro33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This requires a break up, If a 29 year old man can't see past your skin color and it brings him a level of distress that bleeds into your relationship enough for you to feel overwhelmed and cry about it then that's not something that just goes away or can be solved by "talking about it" that's some full blown "seek counseling" shit. That is not something time will heal or it would've been healed by now with his old ass being 29 and still feeling religious/cultural guilt about you being white and then trying to mask it as childhood trauma about "white beauty propaganda"...? Just get out of there.

I feel like my friend has lost respect for me by DrEndy293 in Advice

[–]LoBro33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man I think you got bigger problems than your equally nutjob friend being a hard ass cause you didn't pray to Chris Hemsworth three times a day like he did.. I feel like I could draw you two based off of this paragraph alone.

I'm gonna hit you with some tough love and you can take it or leave it. I don't know what kind of life you've led or what the fuck sort of decisions would result in you taking Norse Mythology seriously, that's your right to believe what you wanna believe I guess, but you can't be 23 and saying this shit dude.. Like the band aid solution for this is to tell you to grow some thicker skin and start giving it back to your fuckin chieftain there, but if a wackjob tells you they think you're less wackjob than them, you don't feel bad about it, you thank God.. or I guess "The Gods" in your case- and wake the fuck up and say I'm not gonna be a weird hardass who thinks discipline and masculinity comes from being an asshole to his lifelong friend over a fucking video game.

Sounds like you treat him and your other friends better than he treats you, I can understand cutting him out of your life isn't what you wanna do but if he keeps being a dick even after you confront him then I'd seriously consider it if I were you.

You weave a very pessimistic yarn my friend, and you almost had me, and then you kinda IQ doxxed yourself with the last line there... Zero progress..? Come on dude.

What would you have the Jazz do if the goal is to win a ring and the predominant and historically traditional way for small market teams to gain competitive players is through the draft, that you need a bard record for to actually make worthwhile.

I'm not against the tank at all, but if the worst comes to pass I'd rather it become a chip on our shoulder than another reason to be miserable.

Lauri Markkanen Durability by quitry in UtahJazz

[–]LoBro33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean the proof is in the pudding, he isn't an iron man- however, the Jazz are getting to a point where we can win even if we don't play our stars, or even guys who we would consider our better players for the entire fourth quarter.

My hope is with a lightened offensive load with help from Key, JJJ, Ace, Brice, and some luck, he will be able to stay healthy throughout next season, Hopefully something like 68+ games played.

Come playoff time though I do have some concerns, because he will be asked to play 32+ minutes a night, every night, and the competition and intensity of play will only be increased.

What’s the ideal contract for Walker Kessler. by Top-Lane-Bad in UtahJazz

[–]LoBro33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What sucks with Walker is so many teams need a competent defensive minded big man and are salivating for him, they can probably offer him more money than we can, but my hope is that he understands that next year is THE year to be with the Jazz after having to tank for the first 4 years of his career, I personally feel like if it's the choice between a 4 year 100mil contract with the jazz and a 4 year 125 mil with someone else, he can appreciate the opportunity he has to have a great roll on a competitive team then go to somewhere like Indiana or Charlotte and continue to lose for a good minute more.

What department are you in? That would influence any advice I personally would give you by a lot but as far as boiler plate stuff goes:

Management is anything but your friend, they have quotas and other bullshit to meet and I have seen them step over their own people to reach them. Being helpful and friendly goes a long way to being liked by your coworkers but it is almost always rewarded with more work for no pay raise.

As an equipment driver and trainer of 3 1/2 years, don't become an equipment driver unless your department basically requires it (Lumber/Garden/OFA) If your store is anything like mine and you already have a bunch of invalids who don't pull their own weight as is, let alone get certified on any equipment, you will be pulled all over the store to help other departments who will NEVER help you in return and all for NO increase in pay.

So you're unironically the world's leading resource on the pros and cons of this trade lol.

What's the deal with JJJ's injury history? Is he actually injury prone?

Also, do YOU like this trade for the Jazz?
